Beautiful, newly refurnished flat that was tastefully converted from a donkey stable with certain features preserved. It was very clean and comfortable to stay in. Note we stayed in the ground floor flat without kitchen, not the one shown on Tripadvisor. We booked via booking.com
The owner Massimo was very kind and attentive. We were surprised to see him in the bus station - he came to pick us up which save us the quite lengthy walk dragging our luggage in the dark. He asked us our plans and gave useful, clear advice that meet our needs. He explained the surroundings, including an old empty mansion of a noble nearby, the converted features of the flat which was all very interesting. We felt he wanted to do his best to make sure our stay is pleasant and was a big contrast to the other B&B owners who gave us the couldn't care less/snobby attitude. Kudos to his work and he deserves a good review here. Also his English is very good.
He let us leave our luggage the next morning and we met his sister who was cleaning the apartment. She is very kind as well and reminded us of the water leakage in our luggage.
Highly recommend staying here, despite the wifi and shower hiccups. It is a shame we only stayed for a night and didn't get to visit the lovely old town.
We were given a large bottle of water and a CD on Sicily.
Thank you for your hospitality. It was a pleasure to stay here and all the best to your business!
The wifi didn't work - the owner had called vodafone to fix it. He let us into his house which was opposite of the flat to use the wifi which is shared with the flat. It was very interesting to visit an Italian home.
Towards the end of the shower the hot water turned cold. We waited for sometime for it to turn hot again.
