We found the Calanca to be a lovely hotel, right by the Mediterranean, not luxurious but with a touch of class, in an unsophisticated laid-back little town on a very beautiful coastline. Go for room 214, oceanfront.
Non too large rooms, well designed and equipped, on a cul-de-sac, but still wiith more comings and goings in the street than you would expect. Windows are not soundproof, but the aircon is modern and quiet. Left of the building: Small non-heated pool with few lounge chairs. Above and behind it: Restaurant, busy well into the night, which you should know when renting a room facing West. Beautiful sunsets there, though.
Staff very kind, leaving nothing to be desired. Free parking for a dozen cars on-site.
Spiaggia Calanca is only a few minutes on foot, with free space on a white sandy beach (but also lidos, if you prefer), and crystal clear water staying shallow well into the bay.
We'd be happy to be able to return.
