Food: Excellent food in the Carrici D'Ischia restaurant. The fish stew is definitely worth a try - 70euros for a very large terracotta bowl full of fresh fresh and clams, mussels, squid and prawns to share between minimum two people. Hospitality and service provided by Mr Salvatore and Enzo was fantastic and they went out of their way to accommodate us. All dietary requirements catered for e.g. gluten free bread, gluten free pasta or alternatives available. Restaurant setting was romantic with views out to the sea. Highly recommend a visit. The food inside the main restaurant for dinner was good overall - the buffet prior to the starter and main was very good and the starter and main course nice enough. Breakfast was typical italian but nothing exciting. Pool: pools were really good - different water temperatures - there were an adequate number of sun loungers and umbrellas for all. Only thing that spoilt the enjoyment which is not the hotel's fault is the fact that most guests did not bother showering prior to getting into the pools as hotel literature states everyone should do. Therefore it was a bit off putting having people dripping in sweat getting into the pool next to us. Room: very clean, good size but basic - no iron or kettle to make tea/coffee.
