Being a writer of words and a lover of creative and delicious food I will share with you this simply incredible pasticceria located in the heart of the historic center of Cava.
Each morning i would enjoy brioche and croissant with my latte although sometimes I cheated and had one of the amazing biscuits stuffed with apricot jam and the little custard tarts that call out to you "eat me" from behind the glassed counter.
In the glass fronted cabinets are the most amazing selection of cakes and pastries i have ever laid eyes on..traditional cakes secrets of making passed down by generations of cake makers.
Since 1908 confectioner Liberti founded by Rosario Liberti has been baking these amazing cakes and biscuits. In 1979 Adolfo, Rosario's brother took over with his sons Claudio and Luigi. Today the children of Luigi , Adolfo and Maria, are the custodians of the establishment still making pasticceria the way that has been handed down by their father and uncle.
