We ended up spending more time at mount Vernon than we had anticipated so decided to stay for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised. They serve a full bar and had some great craft beer options. The kids menu had some terrific options for the kids and everything was made from scratch. The grouper sandwich is delicious. The shrimp and grits were creamy and yummy. The prices were fair. It was expensive but it wasn't as expensive as we were anticipating. I would go back without hesitation and this time I would try the crab cakes. They looked amazing!

Very good dining experience - seated promptly, served cheerfully, fed well! For brunch, we started with the cornbread, then moved on to had omelets, Taverna Cobb Salad, and Steak Salad. We enjoyed all the items we ordered. Good children's menu - plus a fife player in period costume strolled through to entertain the guests. Not bad price compared to other "attraction dining," but definitely a step up in quality from the average attraction fare.

We popped in here for a mid day snack and were very happy with our bowls of wonderful peanut soup. Very busy, service a little slow but ok since we needed a little rest after tour and walk around the grounds.

A great sit-down lunch in an adorable setting. The corn bread was like dessert before the meal. Their fried green tomatoes are amazing! Fast service meant not losing time exploring the estate.

My wife and I traveled from NJ with our 4 kids just so we could have a nice little unique date night dinner in anticipation of Valentine's Day. The service was awesome. Setting - what can I say - historic. Food amazing, and wine pairings with each meal were literally perfect. And i know nothing about wine, but the melding of tastes was so thought out and really perfected!
