Our family of five ate at the Mongolian BBQ for the first time on June 7, 2015. It recently opened and the owners previously owned Jonathan’s (which is next door) but sold it. Mongolian BBQ is definitely a Chinese restaurant but instead of sitting down to order off a menu or having a buffet, you go along a line and choose what you want in your meal. The ordering/choosing process is very similar to Chipotle but Chinese; you basically choose the meat you want and then go down the line and add as many different items as you want, and there are plenty, at no extra charge. It’s one flat fee. They take what you’ve chosen, cook it on a huge circular Teppanyaki grill, call your number when it is ready and you go up to get it. You also get a small dish of vegetable fried rice with your meal and drinks are self-serve. The restaurant is new so it’s very clean, and the tables are similar to booth-type tables, similar to the school cafeteria style. It’s not fancy but the layout works out well. Overall, the prices are reasonable and all five of us agreed that the food was very good, there is plenty of it and we look forward to going back there again.
