“Excellent cup of tea for two thirsty Brits”

Shenandoah Confections
Ranked #3 of 4 Dessert in Front Royal

We were in Front Royal for a few nights and visited this place for a short while on a wet day. The choice of teas was considerable - I had Darjeeling and my wife had a Rose Petal tea - and all from glass storage jars, not tea bags. Very tasty, very well served, and at the end we were given a few free chocolates.

Craig and his staff have transformed a sleepy shop into a nice place to relax, have a tea and dessert. THE BBQ is also very good!

We were happy to see a Tea Shop as we drove down the Main Street of Front Royal. We parked our car in the public parking (Free) and walked back only to see the owner locking up to depart the shop. Our party had a number of people who knew and loved their teas (they had come from India and had lived in the land of teas - Kolkata) and were not willing to settle for anything less than a great cup of tea.

The owner invited us in and said that he would be more than willing to accommodate our party. He ushered us into the tea room that had many tables laid out with tea services from many sources of many kinds. He asked us to choose our preference of crockery and then showed us a great variety of teas to choose from. We picked a dark Chinese oolong and a flavored tea. The owner brewed us pots of freshly made tea and served us graciously in the Tea Room. It was quite a treat on a late Sunday afternoon in a quaint and wonderful small Virginia town.

We also ordered scones to go with the tea. The scones were exactly as they should be - crumbly and just the right amount of sweet.

if you have a yen for exotic teas, I would recommend this place. If you are interested in a customer-friendly place, what better place than when an owner reopens a store just for you!

I had a business meeting here. They have a small but nice meeting area in back. Great for small business meetings. :-)
There is a HUGE selection of different teas. And the staff is willing to help you pick something out, if you are unfamiliar with some of the different ones.
Last time I went they had started serving panini sandwiches. It was really delicious!

Lovely setting and wonderful owner. Chocolates, tea, coffee. Beautiful tea cups and nice sit down. Walk right in off the street.
