Deltaville, VA is a small, quaint, and charming little town. Known as the "Boating Capital of the Chesapeake", there are lots of marinas, boats and fishing. And now, to add to the mix is a great little restaurant, The Table at Wilton/ Table To go. We had brunch there one recent Sunday and it was great - everything came as ordered, including the crispy bacon! Then one day, we walked in to look at the bakery selections and walked out with an assortment of cookies and brownies which brought back delicious childhood memories. Inspired by two good experiences, we decided to try their lunch - this was the best! The small restaurant was bustling; wait staff were friendly and professional; and the selection was impressive. We ordered barbecue sandwiches and fries (well done) and it turned out to be a wonderful culinary experience. The barbecue was full of flavor and yet not overwhelming; the rolls were light so you didn't feel stuffed with bread; and the cole slaw added just the right amount of spice. Better than any barbecue I've had in a long time! And...the fries were actually well done! When does that ever happen? We can't wait to go back again!
