I had a chipotle salmon that was one of the best salmon dishes I've ever had! And my son's burger was delicious as were the seasoned vegetables (maple glazed carrots). But my daughter was disappointed with her tofu dish as the tofu wasn't very flavorful nor crispy enough.

Finally! An amazing meal near a ski mountain! Looking for something different, away from the overpriced chaos of killington, I found this place online and fell in love with the menu. We called last minute to find them booked out but were able to call 15 mins ahead for seats at the bar, which ultimately worked to our benefit. Wonderful bartender Carry was incredibly helpful in selecting favorite dishes and sent us a few tasters—including her chocolate pretzel drink, a must have experience. Everything from the amazing calamari, to the butternut squash burrata and the beets were just delicious! Also outstanding was the pork—some of the best I’ve had. Fried chicken and the gnocchi were more favorites. We’re self proclaimed foodies who eat out in Manhattan multiple times a week and can’t say enough about this spot. It’s everything I’ve been looking for up here. Looking forward to the next time! Bravo!

Ended up staying at Rutland, VT for a skiing trip. There were so many places to pick from but we decided to come to this one. It had very good reviews and boy we were right. The restaurant itself is relatively small so it will be tough to get a seating if come without reservation. We ended up sitting at the bar. The service was great, food was fantastic and overall atmosphere was great. They serve farm to table food and thats exactly what we were looking for. The food was authentic and locally grown or supplier by local farmers.

We are locals and everytime we go to Roots, we say we need to come here more often!
We recently had dinner on Sunday night, sat at the bar, and enjoyed every minute, from unique cocktails made with local ingredients, to fried chicken like you've never had, to a wonderful dessert. We will be back...and again...and again!

Had an enjoyable meal with friends, Server was not very knowledgeable on a few questions we had on the menu, including the cheese selection and didn't bother to find out the answers. Food was very good, but no outstanding.
