Had dinner here with my spouse while a guest at the Inn. Relaxed, informal pub, with their own brewery, excellent beer selections.
Food was fine, good pub food, service was friendly, competent and cheerful. Would enjoy going back when in the vicinity.

But the Norwich Inn is not. Poor management, run-down rooms, chaotic dining room...Try to find somewhere else to stay.

We just enjoyed the most delicious and pleasant dining experience that we have had in a long time, during our first visit to the Norwich Inn. Arriving later in the evening, we passed through the the vibrant pub and were seated at a quiet corner table in a most comfortable dining room. Our waiter, Tio, was friendly, efficient, and there when we needed him. The Whistling Pig Ale was perfect, as was my wife’s Cosmopolitan.

Thanks to an extremely talented Chef, our dinner was also perfect. My wife had the Seared Statler Chicken Breast. The chicken was moist and delicious. The stuffing was an indescribable melange of taste and texture that can only be experienced at the business end of a fork. I ordered the Roasted Day Boat Cod. The fish was super fresh and cooked perfectly! The classic Newburgh sauce was absolutely the best that I have ever tasted.

Even our side dish of Brussels Sprouts was amazing. The sprouts were tasty, moist, tender, carmelized spheres of deliciousness. They were served in a marinade of maple & bacon with diced apple that I was still thinking about during dessert. So good!

Dinner was such a wonderful experience that we just couldn’t pass on dessert. Until today, the best tasting profiteroles that we have ever had were at Taormina in New York City’s Little Italy. The profiteroles that we enjoyed at the inn set the bar a little higher. The fudge sauce was as good as my grandmother’s (but made with a much better quality chocolate). That sauce combined with a high quality vanilla ice cream made the profiterole a fantastic choice.

The kitchen here is the finest kind! We’re intrigued by the talent of this Chef and his staff, and we will be back soon to further explore the menu.

We are frequent guests of the Norwich Inn for dinner in the main dining room. In recent years, we have noted that the food here has improved remarkably, so much so that it is now one of our favorite restaurants. We, particularly, like the lobster and heart of palm salad, as well as any of their seafood entrées. Last night, in addition to the lobster salad, we enjoyed cod stuffed with crab, which was served with Basmati rice and green beans, followed by King Arthur Flour chocolate decadence cake with whipped cream and a scoop of coconut ice-cream. My friend and I shared all of these courses, and they were more than sufficient for the two of us. Another favorite entree at the Norwich Inn is their barbecued short ribs.

Our regular waitress is personable and her service is outstanding!
