We were lucky enough to find this lovely little BnB for a spur-of-the-moment trip, and were thrilled with what we found. We received an upgrade without asking (a real treat!), and our room (Elliott's Room) was spacious, quiet, and lovely in every respect. We chose to dine at the inn and were delighted with the options, the quality of the food (all farm-to-table), and the very fine service. I chose the pork schnitzel, which was accompanied by a creamy basil-inflected orzo and steamed asparagus, my spouse a delicious pork tenderloin cooked perfectly (medium rare), with polenta and chanterelle mushrooms. His fresh tomato gazpacho and my corn chowder were excellent starters. The drinks were very good as well, with an extensive list of liquors that included a number of small local and regional distilleries. Breakfast was excellent as well, with fresh pastries, the choice of an omelette or white chocolate pancakes, and rich strong coffee. The staff was quite accommodating, The inn is close to Rutland (maybe 6 miles) yet a world away--quiet and peaceful. We loved the place!

Some places you go for the food. Some for the service. Some for the atmosphere. The restaurant at Red Clover delivers all of that and more. Located on a side road off of Route 4 and surrounded by woods, this Vermont Inn provides a perfect getaway experience. The dinning is split into several small and mid size rooms so the atmosphere is intimate. They have a full bar and rather good wine list with some very good specialty cocktails. Their "Bee's Knees" is one of the best I've had. The menu sources several local farms and suppliers so only the fish has traveled far to reach your plate. I had a pasta main course that was perfectly done with mushroom and capers giving it a wonderful smoky flavor. There is steak and fowl as well as a selection of fish dishes so there is something for any taste and it all seems to be done equally well. Our Peach Tart with Sorbet was a perfect finish to our meal. This place has been consistently good over the years so I have no qualms recommending it unconditionally.

We absolutely loved this restaurant. The waiter was top notch, helped us pick our meals and pair our drinks. The food was out of this world - I got striped bass with a turnip puree that melted in my mouth, it was heavenly. Even the bread before the dinner was great - warm, perfectly crusted and they served it with olive oil infused with red pepper. The actual restaurant is worth visiting just to see the interior and enjoy the rustic views of the pond and outdoors - truly a scenic, warm atmosphere to enjoy delicious food!

Fabulous food, fabulous service, fabulous ambiance. Loved it - the food is locally sourced and the menu changes with what's available. I had lamb riblets with locally foraged ramps and quinoa. Wonderful. My friends' meals were similarly wonderful. Great wine list; local beers on tap. Truly beautiful decor and we had a view of what is reportedly the oldest apple tree in Vermont. Magical!

We had a group of 7 for dinner.
Overall, it was outstanding ! The service from Karin was 5 star. The food choices are reasonably broad with a good variety of meat and seafood. The appetizers were great, as were the desserts! We'd definitely go back and we'd highly recommend this as a spot for a group dinner if you are in the Killington area !
