Description: The historic Marsh Tavern was the first building erected on the site of what is today the expansive Equinox resort. One of the first lodging houses in Vermont, its history predates the Revolutionary War. Today it is home to a celebrated restaurant and meeting place. Renowned for its hearty New England fare, patrons can enjoy a delicious lunch and the finest regional dinner cuisine. And for good fun, spend a while in the Tavern Lounge for cocktails, a tasty menu and outdoor seating for wine and spirits. Open daily.

We eat out a great deal so there's not much that impresses us But the "Tomato Tasting" appetizer was innovative, delicious and fun. Wine list was solid and food all with a fresh take (e.g. lighter version of Shepherds Pie). Tom was the most knowledgeable server we've ever experienced - a consummate professional - who pulled everything together. Very respectful and mindfull about food allergies too. Had a memorable meal and delightful evening. Thank you! (P.S. We dined outside on the porch with those great columns)

But I cannot. The food is decent but there is room for improvement. I suggest lunch and a nice bowl of their onion soup. The bar is tiny, but cozy and welcoming on a winter day.

Order off the pub menu or the dinner menu. Outside dining available. Very relaxing and enjoyable and glad that the server's recommended shrimp special entree was so delicious.

Being hotel guests, we could have gone anywhere, but ate at the March Tavern, which was a culinary delight! The tomato appetizer was truly unbelievable and incredibly tasty. The salmon dishes were out of sight delicious and perfect. The food cooked perffectly and very generously proportioned. The place has a great chef and wait staff. The salads were simply perfect. There was a fireplace in the room. The waitress was perfect. Drinks were cold and timely served. Will return.
