Nearly every visit to Manchester to see my mother-in-law, I stop here for a breakfast sandwich. The quality, flavor, and size are on point. The bagels are good too (And I live near NYC). The Vermont cheddar they add is sharp and compliments the eggs and ham perfectly.

Thank you so, so much, Ray! We're thrilled to be part of your Manchester routine. We work hard to make those bagels delicious (5 simple ingredients mixed, proofed, boiled and baked). And it's tough to go wrong with Vermont cheddar! So glad to hear the quality and quantity are succeeding. It's really great to hear, and we can't wait to serve you again!!

Thank you,
Becky for The Works

I ordered a turkey guacamole Panini. It was very good. The restaurant is small. There is parking in a lot a short walk away. We sat by the window looking a the brook. It was relaxing and pleasant. The choices were tempting for sandwiches, salads and breakfast items. The Works Bakery Café is not fancy by any means but has good fresh food. The bread was great.

We are so happy that you had a good time at The Works! The turkey guac panini is one of our favorites on the menu. Good fresh food and bread made from simple, wholesome ingredients and classic baking techniques (no steaming, only proofing and boiling and baking!). We can't wait to serve you again.

Thank you,
Becky for The Works

Stopped here years ago for a breakfast sandwich, it was great returned many times for both lunch and breakfast. All very good. Fresh breads and bagels. Home made soups.
Parking can be tough.

Thanks so much, Peter! We put a lot of love into our bagels (though only 5 ingredients mixed, proofed, boiled and baked the old-fashioned way!). We can't wait to see you again--Becky K for The Works

Just went here for lunch today. Had the corn chowder and it was SO yummy. Perfect cream based soup and not TOO creamy. Tasted very fresh but I added a little salt to it cause I'm a salt-aholic. Just great!

Stopped by just to pick up bagels for breakfast and found a great assortment! The Works (everything) bagels are wonderful, especially with the bacon & scallion cream cheese! Brought the remainder home to family who demolish nearly a dozen. Will stop the next time in the area and maybe get a few more not to share :-)

Yay for the wonderful discovery! We use just 5 ingredients (unbleached unbromated flour, water, yeast, salt, and malt syrup) and then mix, proof, boil and bake the old-fashioned way. And we mix the cream cheeses in-house. Yes, do stop in any time you're in town. We can't wait to serve you again!
