My wife and I went there for a couple of nights. We stayed in the Fallen Spruce Suite !!! What a beautiful room !!! Large comfortable bed and sofa and chair and coffee table. The bathroom was large and had two robes for us to use during our stay.
Beautiful grounds and very peaceful.
Exceeded our expectations !!!!!!

We stayed here for four nights in the Ondawa Suite. It was a wonderful large room with fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The front desk staff is very helpful. The staff (Pam O'Brien) took care of all of my restaurant and golf reservations when I made my room reservations. She executed the reservations perfectly. Breakfast, which is included in the room rate, was excellent with a number of different choices. The Inn has an intimate bar along with the best restaurant in Manchester.

Room tip: We loved the Ondawa Suite.

I cannot wait to return! Who doesn't love to be pampered with exceptional service and creative and award-winning food? Hunter, our server was delightful; we loved his enthusiasm with the chef's creations and terrific attention to detail at our table.
The local trout and exceptional scallops are a must and the sorbet trio outstanding.
Not to mention the dark cherry ice cream and chocolate decadence dessert.
This is our second visit; I sure hope the chef is here next season...

From the minute we contacted the RP to make our reservation we were greeted with warmth, care and a sincere spirit of friendliness. We made our reservation with Charles I was sold in seconds! He was patient with a few questions we had and went "Above and Beyond" taking pictures of our actual room and sending them to us (my wife was on the mend of hip surgery so there were some small guidelines regarding the room).

Upon arrival we were greeted by the GM Marissa and Pam at reception area. The WELCOME SIGN was displayed in every way. There immediate promptness to assist us with any of our needs was all too apparent. Lots of smiles and warmth!

The RP has the ambiance of "Casual Elegance" throughout the hotel. Our room was updated, clean and very roomy. My wife and I both enjoyed relaxing and reading in the Windsor Jacuzzi Soaking Tub.

Housekeeping was efficient including a turn down and general straightening up of our room every evening while we were out for dinner.

The RP restaurant is truly a experience. Our dinners and there offerings were creative and delicious "5 Stars!" Starting our day in the dinning room with their Country Breakfast offerings was delightful. Every server from the dinners to breakfast were happy, accommodating and all were attentive.

We were looking for a quiet breather and some relaxing and just kicking back time from our hectic daily schedules. We found this charm and tranquility at this fine establishment. We enjoyed every minute.

We have stayed at many upscale lg. and small luxury hotels over the years. The RP and is on the top of our list.

Thank You - we will always remember a truly enjoyable visit

Just an FYI - Our plans were to make a reservation and book the Equinox Inn.The initial experience with the Equinox was "Night and Day" compared to the Reluctant Panther (read our post on the Equinox Inn - TripAdvisor - the GM requested we contact him after our post - we did - no response - that was solely for appearances) Absolutely no customer service from our initial call and inquiry to them. It's no surprise the GM never responded back to us.

Dear carriagehousecat2017,

For starters, thank you SO much for sharing such wonderfully-thorough feedback with our team and fellow TripAdvisor users. It was truly a pleasure having you and your wife stay with us for a few nights! I am so happy to hear you were able to enjoy nearly all elements of our property from the soaking tub to the turn down cookies. Charlie, Pam and the entire Panther team love welcoming guests and ensuring every details as cared for throughout your time with us.

On behalf of the entire Panther family, we are so happy that both of you were able to take a "quiet breather" and "kick back" during your time here in the beautiful Green Mountains!

Until your next visit, wishing you all the best.
Sincerely,
Marissa

Your first step into this restaurant prepares you for a predictable dinner that is competently prepared and served by a professional staff. The atmosphere is staid and safe, the usual drapes, artwork and linens. The menu reflects a reluctance to be inventive but all the courses were very good. High end cost should be expected and comes true.
This is a fine dining establishment which seems to take the safe path to success.

Dear DrZsez,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and fellow TripAdvisor users. I am happy to hear you found your dinner to be "very good" and enjoyed our staff. Chef Sigal received the Chef of the Year award for the state of Vermont this year! She and her team strive to please all palates while being creative with the freshest ingredients. As a Gold Barn Award recipient, we have created wonderful relationships with our local farmers and purveyors to provide us with the most delicious items to create a beautiful menu!

I do hope to welcome you again and 'wow' you with your experience!
Wishing you all the best.
Sincerely,
Marissa
