Affordable sushi prices considering location is on top of a mountain. Decent food options and prices overall menu compared to the bar/pub menus along this strip of the mountain. Good miso soup and ginger salad as well as basic rolls. No complaints however not a wow factor either unless you choose the hibachi table. Still recommend to try it out.

Since Sushi Yoshi is the only show in town for chinese, hibachi or sushi, they have a captive audience. The food is decent but also overpriced. The hibachi is fun for a group for sure. Sushi? pretty good but also on the pricey side. All in all not bad but honestly the place inside needs a major overhaul. it's super out of date decor. They need to renovate the place. better for take out, where you don't have to look around when you are there.

Granddaughter and I hiked The Canty Trail to Blue Ridge Mountain. In need of some good food after our excursion, we stopped in at Sushi Yoshi on the mountain road. We were there after the usual lunch hours so it was quiet and we were the only patrons. Our server, Lindsay was very informative and efficient. The house special lo mein was very good with lots of shrimp, pork, chicken, etc. and spiced as I asked for it. Our other choice was ok. The Pad Thai Chicken was a little too sweet and spongy. We found the dumplings made with too much thick dough, however the filling was good. We sat near the hibachi tables and imagined that that would be fun some evening when we could return. Prices were a little steep in that we paid $45 for the above described meals including soft drinks as well. Would go back again.

Stopped in this afternoon for the happy hour free wings (3:00-6:00 PM) plus a brew and take out soups and apps. The craft beer list is the best in Killington with about 15-20 different varieties on tap. There's also an "on deck" list posted of what's coming next. After the free wings and drinks, we took out a couple of soups, an order of negimayaki and egg roll. All good as usual. It's a tourist town so expect food priced accordingly.

Being a local, and a lover of sushi, Tokyo House in Rutland is our go-to sushi joint. But their menu is limited for other foods. A group of couples were heading out for dinner, most of which are not sushi fans, so we opted for the hibachi tables at Sushi Yoshi. The chef was awesome and entertaining. The filet was tender, scallops and shrimp awesome, veggies rice and noodles cooked perfectly.

The sushi on the other hand, just doesn't taste fresh. It was strong and fishy, with a very distinct pungent odor which usually means old, in my opinion as someone who's eaten sushi all over the place. The presentation was lacking and it had a look of being rushed and thrown together. Far too much "special sauce" was gooped over the rolls as well, overpowering the fish, the masago and tobiko, veggies and rice, which I suppose was the point if the fish is too strong.

Back to the hibachi - this place caters to out of staters who don't think twice about paying $32 for ten thin slices of beef mixed with $4 of veggies and rice. I suppose you're paying for the atmosphere and entertainment, not the food. Very tasty, but Very overpriced.
