Checked in late Friday night and quickly noticed how noisy the room was. It was located on the second floor just above the automatic sliding doors for the whole resort. It was late so we just sucked it up for the night. So all night long you hear this rumble when people come and go and it starts very early in the morning before 6 am when people start leaving.

The next morning we requested a room change, the hostess stated they were fully booked but she was able to get us a room for later in the day which was fine. The next night things were 100% better, great rooms over the in East wing and no constant droning noise from the electric sliding doors. We had the buffet breakfast on the first day and enjoyed the variety of items available and the coffee is quite good. We did not golf but the course looked in excellent shape, located next to the hotel.

One request would be to have the small coffee or tea service in the rooms which is standard fair in most hotels nowadays.

Room Tip: Request a room in the East wing, they are lovely

Shanna told me about rm 229 and the noise you experienced Saturday morning. I've never heard of this noise issue so perhaps there was an obstruction causing a louder audible. Anyway, we are pleased we were able to rectify your situation and hope to see you again.

Thank you,
Mark Avery

This is a family-run resort. We were greeted with freshly pressed apple cider. The food was very good with generous portions. Movies are available in the resort theater. Many rooms with a variety of activities- card/ board games, billard room, indoor pool available for indoor activity. The downside was the stairs from the main floor to the dining room. Many windows throughout the resort to see the magnificant scenery.

Room Tip: any room with a view of the lake

This family owned resort sits on a beautiful, pristine lake. Our room had a wonderful view of the lake which was beautiful to wake up to in the morning (unless fogged in). The hotel is well kept and managed and the staff are friendly and helpful. This is an older property with character so if you are looking for an upscale hotel this is not for you. If you want charm and relaxation, you've found it. There is a beautiful golf course, wonderful landscaping, and water activities.

The breakfast was included and is a buffet. Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, hot cereal, pastries, fresh fruit and a rotation daily of french toast or pancakes with maple syrup of course.

We had several dinners here and must say the food was very good. SInce this was a tour group we had a menu to choose from each night of four to five entrees and two or three starters, and desserts. Scallops steaks, chicken, fish all were done to perfection. Salads were very good but some soups were only OK. Don't be afraid to eat here.

Room Tip: Noise level can be higher if your room is over the bar area where bands paly on Friday and Saturday...

Beautiful location for a wedding, reunions or just a peaceful getaway. We stayed in a two story home with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms on Lake Morey. Two big family rooms, big kitchen & the downstairs is a mini apartment with its own kitchen. This place has just about everything. I enjoyed sitting on the porch looking out at the water & mountain.

I really don't know why there are so many good reviews of this place. I understand they are in the process of updating things. The lake view room we had was not one of them. The view was the best thing. It was small but very outdated. Bathroom is tiny but workable if you have just one person in there at a time. Let's talk about the beds. Or shall we call them planks??? They were so uncomfortable that my arm fell asleep. I had to keep switching sides to give my arm a break. I did not sleep well mostly because of this but our noisy neighbors were the other culprits. Walls are awfully thin. Maybe they can blow some insulation in the walls when they renovate. We had drunken guys knocking at our door not once but twice in the middle of the night. Obviously this place is good for a group of guys to stay and play golf, drink too much and make lots of noise. I won't be back. No thanks.

You are indeed correct, we are in the process of updating which is completed on a seasonal basis (winter). Your room (164) is slated for this season which includes replacement of the beds. We in fact had a wedding in attendance on the previous Saturday evening who were very active in the after hours. I was making the rounds into the early morning hours in an attempt to keep them on their best behavior. It was rather challenging. You should never hesitate to inform the front desk in current time to address this issue so I could be directed to this area in particular.

I apologize for your experience.
