Such a great little place! Wonderful family owns and runs it- food is cheap and amazing fun sets of salt and pepper shakers definitely suggest going here! Only con- cash only but not a con if your prepared!

I love this place! It is full of locals but if someone passing through is lucky enough to find it, I think it will be memorable...simple, and small, but comfortable and welcoming, and really yummy breakfasts.

Isabelle's Cafe is open for lunch and dinner and features some great American cuisine you sometimes have trouble finding elsewhere. For instance, I got a great tuna salad sandwhich on rye (they also have wheat and white bread and English muffins. It was a few minutes past eleven, but they stretched the rules and let my wife order breakfast -- two eggs over easy, English muffin with homemade jelly and excellent sausage passage.

This place is near the Vermont border. If you coming north or south on the Vermont side in 5, then cross the bridge at Lyme and turn right on 10 (north). It is almost immediately on your right. Coming north or side on the interstate, exit for Thetford and it is right there on 5.

Inexpensive. They don't take credit cards, so have cash or a check ready.

Oh yeah, they have a waitperson who is a dead ringer for Sally Fields.
