Love the "suite" with private entrance and kitchen if you want privacy this is it as you will never see the hosts
of this B&B The unit however was spacious and clean and modern bathroom -- which surprised us considering the run down look of the outside> Might stay again but needs a bit more welcoming attitude

Stayed: July 2017

Pottery Barn could do a photo shoot in this well-appointed, smartly designed, B&B. Bill made us feel at home right away. The "Suite" was perfect for us--I'm up with the birds & my husband likes to sleep late. Slept well in our comfy room & enjoyed coffee on the porch overlooking the lush garden full of butterflies. We walked all over town & rode our bikes to North Hero.

The Guest House is in a very good location, close to the activity of Church Street. And our room was clean and very comfortable. So much for the positive side of the review.
When we arrived, there was a hand written note on the door that said the host was not in and we should call. I called the number on the note, but got only a message. In about 10 minutes, I received a call back from the host and we were able to get in to the house (the front door is unlocked). During our entire stay, we never met the host. The note we saw on the door, remains on the door all the time. There was never a host present at the guest house to answer questions, provide directions or give suggestions. We had to call the host a second time when the coffee machine was not working. On both the occasions we called, the connection was poor and we were not able to ask any questions. In addition, the breakfast advertised was very inadequate. The fresh fruit consisted of one squishy apple for all the guests and cherries which were clearly sitting around for days. In addition, while there was a jar with granola, there was no milk to eat the granola with. Not much of a breakfast, other than the yogurt which was provided. Overall, we were not pleased with our stay. If you are looking for a guest house which has staff available and/or provides a breakfast, this is NOT your place. If you are only interested in location, this could work.

Staying here made our visit to Burlington extra special. We stayed in the Guest Room which is a well appointed small suite with access to the most delightful front porch. The grounds are so well cared for and the plantings are lovely. The location was just perfect for parking the car and exploring on foot. Look forward to staying here again.

This beautiful B&B was the perfect place to spend a few days while my daughter was at UVM's orientation. I'll be back for move-in day! We ate out for breakfast everyday - there's no shortage of great places to eat nearby.
