“Nice place”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

We were there overnight. The rooms were clean and the place was well kept. A little pricey, but not overwhelmingly so compared to nearby places. It was a little far from downtown. We attempted to walk, but quickly decided it was too far, plus since Vermont has can deposits, the local vagrants were rummaging through everyone's trash cans. Breakfast was really good, in fact, way better than I expected from a bed and breakfast.

This B&B was beautiful, I enjoyed every minute there! At the time of our stay it was not crowded just a few others there, Loved the room we picked The Tower so cozy and comfy has the extra room with electric fireplace which was a bonus I did not expect. The staff was friendly and gave us a tour, breakfast was delicious in the solarium! The only fault about our room was the bathroom down the hall, it was big and clean and locked with our key but still had to leave the room, although most rooms have the bathroom in their room. The walls are very thin I could hear other people from down the hall. Overall I still loved it here and would like to come back during warmer weather.

We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. The bed & breakfast was beautiful and huge. We stayed in room #12, the tower room and loved it. We had a little sun room off the main room with a great view of the lake. We also had our own gas fireplace. We didn't have a bathroom in our room, but had a private bathroom just down the hall, which was clean and large. Included in the stay was a great breakfast in their dining area. It was freezing the night we stayed here but it was fun to come back to this cozy inn to have cookies and hot chocolate they provided. Downtown Burlington was a fun place to hang out with lots to do and many places to eat. The only small complaint we had was that the walls of the inn are very thin, so it was easy to hear other people.

Room Tip: Tower room #12 was great. No private bathroom if you are looking for that though.

I stayed in Burlington while on business. I chose the Willard Street Inn as one of the few bed and breakfasts in the area. It is a beautiful Inn housed in an old city mansion on Willard Street, hence its name. The rooms are large with high ceilings, tall windows and beautiful details from a bygone era. The common areas are also very beautiful. Amazing wood paneling and a breakfast room with a black and white marble floor and windows looking out over Lake Champlain and the mountains to the west. The inn is in walking distance to the downtown mall and there are lots of good restaurants to enjoy. All in all a great place to stay.
