If you like history, then this is for you. It is mostly about the local history, which is very rich in the revolutionary war. It also has local industry history. It had a display of Grandma Moses paintings. My wife and I found this to be very interesting and educational. We are history buffs. I am a big fan of American History and with with the revolutionary war being big in this area I was thrilled.

What a treasure this place is. It is a very well run, organized, & maintained small museum. The best part of the collection is the rooms dedicated to Grandma Moses and her paintings. They don't allow photos, which is sad, but we nevertheless thoroughly enjoyed our visit. They have an excellent staff and gift shop.

Not only did they have their standard display of Grandma Moses' paintings, which in itself was very good; but also, the touring display of her works. We didn't realize how prolific an artist she was. Lots + lots of her original work on display. Most definitely worth a few hours to see these American classics.

Like all the previous reviewers, we loved this museum. The main attraction is its extensive collection of paintings by Grandma Moses with its supplementary exhibits describing her life, including an interview with Ed Morrow. A remarkable woman. The museum also has other exhibits relevant to the area. We particularly liked the artefacts that illustrated the grand life of the wealthy in bygone eras.

Excellent for a small town museum. Lots of grandma Moses paintings and info about local history. Enjoyable.
