Set in the most beautiful location this once FABULOUS restaurant is now just good. Ambiance is a 5, service is a 5, priced as if it were a 5 but is a solid 31/2 for the food.If you're looking for a place to stroll the grounds and be wowed by the views and you are so taken with your date that the food is secondary, you cant do better in Utah. If you want a meal that a year from now you still remember and talk about, well I can recomend several other places but this no longer makes that list. We had a steak and salmon combination. Not a very tender piece of beef and the fish would compare with a pretty good day at Red Lobster. Both salad and dessert were uninspired and pretty forgetable. All in all, there are parts of the La Caille experience that are unmatched and parts that are easily matched. Allocate your dining budget accordingly

This restaurant is beautiful inside and out. Service impeccable. Yes, pricey. Personally, I eat apps, salads and a dessert. Works for me. Arrive early enough to stroll the grounds!

Setting is lovely, the restaurant itself is charming and the menu promising. The food - expensive and not noteworthy. Fish not cooked appropriately to borderline raw. Other dishes uninspired and overly salty. Overall a disappointing evening.

My wife and I have been here 4 x over the years when in SLC area.
Dinner was very good the service was exceptional but for the first time we did not feel it was worth the price.
Seems like the passion for extraordinary is not there any more.

Everything we tasted was delicious! I had the escargot and the seafood fumet, with a French cream soda to drink; hubby got the foie gras and the duck, with a berry mojito. We were pleasantly surprised when, between the bread and the appetizers, the waiter brought us a complimentary amuse-bouche of fingerling potatoes and tiny vegetables (carrots, radishes, and parsnips) with a yummy dip. Then after the appetizers, they brought tiny cups of strawberry sorbet as a palate cleanser. After the entree, we were much too stuffed to order dessert. However, since we’d mentioned it was our anniversary, they brought us a small “pot de creme” with “Happy anniversary” on the plate and a sparkler in the chocolate creme! The special treatment kept coming; with the check came two strawberry macarons, and finally they gave us two small bags of granola “to say thank you” (and to advertise their weekend brunch).

The waiters and waitresses were very attentive, and we had a wonderful experience. Will definitely be returning.

Thank Karen B
