I am fully aware that most people only review upon the receipt of a poor experience, however after our family had two in a row, i figured i would get online and post. We have a cabin not far from Bear River Service, and since this place went all "resort", we've had nothing but bad experiences.
Two winters ago, my dad rented sleds here and we had a good time. Took a video on our phone prior to leaving for proof of damage, the sleds operated well, the reservation went well, all was fine until we returned and they tried to pin us with damage that the seat wouldnt latch on the right side. They had noted the sled had obvious damage that it had been on its side before we left , but they apparently hadnt noticed the seat and wanted us to pay for it. It took us 45 or so minutes of discussion before they let us leave.
Our second experience was last weekend when we rented a side-by-side. Our family has four wheelers and motorcycles, so we only rented the side-by-side. The machine was all they had left to rent, a can-am commander 1000. We got 5-10 miles away from Bear River Service (.6 gallons of fuel worth total) before the machine overheated. It went into "limp home mode", so we drove it cautiously back to Bear River Service. They showed absolutely no care that this had ruined our day planned to go riding as they had nothing left to rent. I was amazed at how rude and unprofessional they were. The best part, they managed to ring nearly $100 out of us for THEIR machine not being operable. We were happy to pay for our gas, however they wanted to give us a 50% refund. We talked them down to 75% and took our money and ran.
I understand small business is difficult, we are in small business ourselves. But customer service is one thing that small business has over large companies, and this place seriously lacks it. I would not recommend anyone to rent from this place, at least not their machines. It will be worth it for us next time to trailer our rentals up from Weber County.
If you do decide to rent, say your prayers and only work with Kendall. He was the only employee that was decent to us.

We rented four ATV's from Bear River during spring break. Our two older boys were old enough to drive their own, our younger son rode on the back of one of the ATVs and was very comfortable. We had a blast. We called in the morning, left a message and the owner called us right back. He was very helpful on the phone and gave great directions from Park City where we were staying. He was flexible with the length of time we could have the quads for (it helped that it was a slow time in his season, but other companies we called weren't nearly as flexible). When we got to the shop the ATVs were all gassed up ready to go. They were clean and very well maintained and started up right away. We got helmets that were clean and didn't have any signs of wear. We rode in a well marked area and were able to navigte with the use of a map specific to the trails we were on. All in all, a really great experience and will go back during the winter to rent snowmobiles.

Spent a magnificent day, sledding in some fantastic powder!!!

We were a group of 7 city slickers spending some time skiing by park city, and were advised to check out the bear river lodge for the ultimate snow mobile experience, AND MAN DID IT EXCEED OUR EXPECTATIONS.

To start, the lodge was easily accessible from park city, just a quick right turn of i-80.

Upon our arrival, the staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure everyone was settled up and geared for an extreme day in the great outdoors.

The Sleds were in fantastic condition, and really stood up to the test. It's important to be using the right equipment went heading out on such a long journey for safety and for excitement purposes.

We packed some PB & J Sammy's and had a nice picnic in the powder (HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU BRING SOME SNACKS FOR A LONG AND EXCITING JOURNEY)

After a long day in the snow, it was time to head back to the lodge. The staff awaited our arrival and continued the great service we experienced earlier in the day.

Those looking for the ultimate snow mobile experience in the surrounding areas are advised to give the great people at the bear river lodge their business.
