I spent two nights in Waxahachie and stayed in the Margaret Mitchell room. Louis and Linda are two of the most amazing hosts who really love their guests. That fact comes through in every interaction. I was involved in some late night events at the Catfish Plantation restaurant, which is a one minute walk, truly just around the corner. I still made sure to get up for breakfast at 9 am, the scheduled time, but no one had any issues when I returned to my room after breakfast for some more sleep! Note that in the Margaret Mitchell room, the bathroom only has a tub with a removable shower-like head (NOT a shower, just the tub with a removable spout). A bit awkward, but I made it work and really, no complaints. Just be aware if you *love* a shower. Read the room facts closely to find a room with a shower, in that case. All the guests at breakfast raved about their rooms. Also, Louis kindly took my dietary needs into consideration.
The Chaska House B&B is elegant and comfortable, with hosts who truly care about their guests. A very wonderful place and I would definitely stay here again.
