Had dinner at the Tavern last Thursday. Just passing through town. The place looks run down, but don’t let that fool you. Service is very good. Food choices are varied. Wife had grilled salmon which was cooked just right. I had the Pig pizza that was excellent. It is a little dark so recommend seating in the bar area. We strongly recommend this restaurant.

Best pizza I have had the pleasure to eat in the States. Pizza dough very yeasty and reminiscent of French baguette dough.
Wonderful rose to accompany. Very attentive service by the waiter and staff. Highly recommended.

Well traveled couple seeking good wine and vittles; would give 2.5 stars for the cost vs the product. Small menu and limited wine/spirit selections led us to select a nice German riesling paired with their very nice salmon dish. Also the ginger and garlic ribeye... too much ginger. Not the cleanest tables, great servers, nice atmosphere and friendly people. Go or don’t go, take it or leave it. Cute name though.

My husband, daughter, and I ate here for brunch, and we really liked it. It is a tavern, so it is a little dark inside, but the food was super good. The breakfast pizza was a standout--mozzarella, pancetta, poblano, crispy potatoes, topped with a sunny-side egg. Wonderful. The blueberry pancakes were good, as was the blue burger. Of course, don't forget the mimosas. Service started out a little slow, but they were busy and service did improve. Will definitely be back when we return to San Angelo.

Our daughter suggested this restaurant during our visit. All of the food was delicious. We had the calamari appetizer. For the meal we each ordered something different. The daughter had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, which came with 2 pieces of chicken. My husband had the pork chops, which came with 2 very thick pork chops and mashed potatoes. I ordered the ribeye, which was very large and came with mashed potatoes. The daughter got a to-go box for her second piece of chicken and potatoes, and for my husband's second pork chop. The service was as great as the food. Would go back again for sure.
