This was a quick decision to go to Port Aransas for a family get together where everyone else was staying at a rental house. There is not much selection in hotels here and this one was rated high due to its near the beach and luckily was able to reserve a room. However I did pay the high price mainly it was over the weekend.

We actually arrived early but they were not ready for us so we went out for lunch and then hit the beach. In Port Aransas you must buy a beach parking pass at a Stripes convenience store. Later that evening I went back and checked in.

The people working there are really laid back and nice. We had a nice room with a mini fridge. Everything in the room worked fine and was quiet. There was a small utility room near which had an ice machine, coke and snack machine, and a two washer/dryer machines. There is a nice pool and spa downstairs along with a small workout room.

Since this hotel is located between Hwy 361 and the beach you can use a beach golf cart.
I saw many just leave their cars there and rent these golf carts to get around. You can walk a few blocks to get to the beach but most take their vehicle or golf cart.

Breakfast is served in the morning with eggs and bacon which is a big plus for starting out a day either on the beach or fishing. There is plenty of seating.

It's a great alternative from renting a property.

Overall we had great time and would stay here again.

The eautiful gulf beach is just 5 blocks - an easy walk. Staff was welcoming and very engaging. The room was comfortable and the a/c was already on when we walked in - excellent sleep! A full, hot breakfast waa available downstairs! We would definitely again!

After staying in a terrible holiday Inn Express a few days ago i was delighted that this hotel was still a good place to stay! The service was great and the employees were very friendly. Our desk clerk was suffering from a kidney stone yet he still smiled and offered us information to help us find our way around. The breakfast here did offer bacon and biscuits which made us very happy.

Seemed expensive for late summer, but the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was better than most with fresh muffins, cereal, pancakes, yogurt, breakfast meat, but scrambled eggs were powdered. Make sure you check current rates which will be honored. Advanced bookings may cost you rather than save you money.

We initially booked the kids suite but it was horrible. The bedding looked old and dirty, the trundle was broken, the remote had duct tape on it! It was an all around mess!! We immediately went to the front desk and they moved us to a two room suite with no trouble at all. They were more than helpful and our new room was perfect. Being so close to the beach there is a ton of wet sandy people coming in and out of the hotel all day but you would never know it. The lobby was always clean and they had towels at the front desk if you needed them. I would recommend asking for the third floor if your a light sleeper. There seems to be an NBA team staying above us (or at least that's what it sounds like from down here with all the running and jumping) and it's been a little hard for my kids to get to sleep. This hotel is really in the perfect spot, we will definitely be back. (On the third floor)
