We loved our room overlooking the Guadalupe river. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast amazing especially the Texas Pecan coffee. Bought a pound to take home. Loved shopping in the town. Highly Reccomend!

I can't say enough great things about this place. It's one of the best B&Bs I've visited and is a stay I'd absolutely do again! Where to start...?

Location - PERFECT!! This inn is right in downtown historic Gruene. It puts all of Gruene within walking distance which is very worthwhile for a visit. It also is about half way between Austin and San Antonio, so if you want to do day trips to both, this is an IDEAL location. It offers free parking.

Bed - The Inn offers your own individual "cottages" which are spread along the back of the property. Ours was the cheapest and was still better than most hotel rooms we've frequented. It offered a daybed in a reception room and then a bedroom which was antique and rustic (but very classy). My only complaint at all is that there was only one chair so others would need to sit on the bed. The room had a fireplace and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was good sized and offered a claw foot tub which was fun. It is a short 2 minute walk from the lodging to the main building.

Breakfast - First the breakfasts here are totally off the hook. Fresh fruit, pastries, bacon, sausage, eggs, breads, yogurt, cereal....It goes on and on, every morning. Honestly it is as good as a full restaurant buffet and very well prepared. My daughter lives in the area and she joined us for $15 since she wasn't staying with us - worth every penny! The breakfast is served in the main building which is well decorated - kind of a rustic antique feel. Never had issue getting a table.

Service - Total top notch. Everyone was super friendly. Our cottage was cleaned and bed made daily. The staff hosting breakfast always had a smile. When we checked in the woman not only pointed out our cottage on the map but actually walked us there - very professional!

Someone really knows how the hell to run a B&B here.....

The room was amazing, the view was beautiful. The weather in Texas in December is so unpredictable needless to say the weather was perfect. The Breakfast was as good as home cooking. Oh, and their cookies melt in your mouth. This place is located in the Hill Country area and is a very small town, so you can have a view of the town and the Guadalupe River runs behind some of the rooms so you can have a river view.

Room Tip: This place is in the Hill Country area, it is a very small town so it does offer of view of the town,

We stayed in the Country Haus # 15. The location is great if you plan on attending a concert at Gruene Hall, it is literally less then a football field away. You are tucked away in between two great restaurants as well. The Mansion staff was very helpful and the breakfast was fabulous.

Our room was awesome. Very cozy little place with an outside patio to ourselves.

I would definitely recommend this place and definitely will be staying here again in the future.

We had stayed at the Mansion many years ago, but found this visit better.than ever. Service was top-notch, people were all friendly and helpful, great texas-inspired breakfast. We liked it so much, we extended our stay despite having to change rooms. It was an even easier decision since your folks were nice enough to extend our discounted rate.

Room Tip: Riverview rooms are great with private patios for enjoying coffee or afternoon cocktails. Very rustic Texas decor..
