We stayed for 4 nights over New Year and had a fantastic time. The New Years Eve Gala Dinner was fantastic, with good food and great entertainment, it was lavish and memorable.
The restaurants were good and the food was varied and excellent. We look forward to staying at Mare Nostrum again.

Room Tip: Pool view in the Cleopatra will be quieter.

Just returned from 10 days stay at this hotel, our first time and we will definitely go back. The gala dinner on Xmas Eve was great and the Gala dinner on New Year's Eve was amazing. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is ideally located in a very nice part of Las Americas, its very clean, the staff are very efficient and courteous and nothing is too much trouble. We only stayed bed & breakfast but the choice of food available and selection and quality was everything you could expect from a 4 star hotel and catered for all nationalities. The New Year's Eve gala dinner was spectacular with excellent food and fantastic entertainment.
We hope to return again next Christmas and New Year.

Room Tip: Higher floor overlooking pool area towards the seafront end of the hotel as opposed to the main road end which can be a bit noisy from the night clubs across the road.

As a group of six we stayed over the Xmas and new year period we have stayed at this hotel
Before and found it had maintained its standards, the staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful.
The New Years Eve Gala was brilliant and I would thoroughly recommend it. Their was no expense sparred and every aspect was top class. Having been to many top class venues for New
Year in the Uk I can honestly say this was far better.

Room Tip: We have stayed in 3 different rooms in the cleopatra and all have been good, the sea views are great.

The hotel complex is spectacular and its location is superb. If it was managed with attention to customer service then it could be great. The breakfast was really good with plenty of fresh fruit as well as breakfasts suitable for all nationalities and I was glad to find a machine which could squeeze oranges for fresh orange juice. Really the only let down for the hotel was its reception/customer service as the staff there did not seem to care about their clients and it came across loud and clear which put on an unnecessary dampener on our holiday. We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis so did not try the evening dinner as it was quite expensive and did not look great (not the same quality ambience as other five star hotels we have stayed in but more like a buffet restaurant). The security cards that unlock the side gates give an air of safety and allow easy entry/exit along the beach front or towards the shops.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the nightclub if you prefer a quiet stay.

I travelled with family for 14 nights bed and breakfast to the Cleopatra Palace. The price was very competitive as we returned on the 23rd December. The check in was quick and efficient, cases were taken to the rooms and a quick explanation of everything was given. The party were given rooms next to each other and as we were traveling with a 5 month old child a cot, bath and kids club towels were delivered to the room. A very nice touch.
As has been mentioned in previous reviews some tiding up of the bathrooms is required however they are spotlessly clean as are the rooms. Bed linen was changed every second day and towels could be changed daily if required.
The only meals we had in the hotel was breakfast which was the usual standard fare with a few additions that I haven't seen before for breakfast these included broccoli and carrots!!! however fresh squeezed orange juice was available.
You can use the facilities at the Mediterranean Palace which has a really nice swimming pool which is kept immaculately clean.
I am happy that we selected B&B as there are numerous good quality restaurants "across the road" from the hotel and in Las Americas as a whole.
The location of the hotel is right on the beach front. It is also close to some quality shops if retail therapy is required.
Usual extras like Wi Fi and safes were included in the price.
Overall this is a quality hotel a with very good service in an excellent location, well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Mediterranean Palace get the morning sun. Nice.
