We came here on 13/02/2015 - 20/02/2015 Originally booked into the Rondo hotel but were put in the bungalows accross the road which was better!! These bungalows are lovely and clean and very quiet. Brilliant location. Maid service every day. The sister hotel accross the road the Rondo is also good. Great entertainment for the children. Amazing!! They absolutley loved it!! Activities every day throughout the day except Sundays.
Food for all inc was great. Loads of choice. Overall a fantastic holiday. Would recommend to families with young children.

Room Tip: We were booked into the Rondo hotel but on arrival asked for a queit room due to having the small children and were put in the suites instead. Clean. Roomy and quiet. Lovely !!

Quite strange I suppose to write a review of a holiday just 4 days into it but as I can get little or no assistance from staff at the hotel it seems the only way to try and get anybody's attention.
As a young family with a 7 and 4 year old we were really excited about our holiday to the Miraflor Suites and first impressions were really very good.
The apartments look like they have been furnished quite recently and are immaculately clean.
The kids beds are actually the sofas in the living space of the apartment which doesn't cause too much of an issue as you have the opportunity to break out to your patio area when the kids reside.
The weather is quite BRITISH at this time of year (Feb) and we found this out on the first night as the apartment was freezing. The beds were made up with 2 light sheets and the kids had a fleece style throw and we're still cold throughout the night.
The apartment is fitted with one heater/air con unit which is located in the living space. We searched throughout the night for a remote control to activate it but to no avail - nor was there a remote for the TV.
We ended up sharing one bed and cuddling to stay warm - not what you would expect when breaking away for a little winter sun!
The next day, I asked at reception about the whereabouts of the remote controls and was advised that you could only have access to them by paying a deposit. Although on the whole I do not have a major issue with this, I did feel like a) as a paying guest I was not trusted to look after a remote control and b) we should have been advised on this on arrival which would have avoided such a disappointing start to the break.
We left reception to go for breakfast only to find that it finished at 10am. It may just be me but I find this very early for a family resort. No worries we thought we will head to the pool for snacks...WRONG AGAIN!
Snacks are not available at all on Friday as the staff prepare an Al fresco paella which is at a cost of 5€ per plate! ALL INCLUSIVE?
The pool is advertised as being heated but we were advised by a member of staff that it is still very cold and they were right. The kids refuse to use the pool and so we must find excursions or entertainment away from the complex resulting in spending far more money away from the complex than planned.
Of the 5 meals we have attempted to eat within the complex only one has had any kind of child freindly courses and that was spaghetti bolognaise (pretty much tasteless) or chicken nuggets (deep fried and brown processed meat).
I understand that it is difficult to please everybody when the are so many nationalities staying within the complex but on the whole it is uninspiring to say the least and can be washed down with a glass of house wine/vinegar which I'm sure the staff would refuse to drink if given away for free on there own Christmas party! We have also noticed food being recycled on a number of occasions. An example of this was an evening meal where sprouts were an option with the evening meal. Not the kind of thing you expect to see in the canaries but none the less they appear to have sat under a hot lamp throughout the dinner service and reinvented themselves the following day as a soggy sprout salad!
Hasten to say we have tried to eat within the complex for each meal but have so far paid to eat outside of the complex on four occasions.
Our quality of sleep is not improving as the heater is only warming the living space which means the kids are hot and irritable and we are still cold and uncomfortable in the bedroom. Two extra blankets did appear in the wardrobe which I guess is because the cleaners realised that we were leaving the heater on throughout the day to try and leave it off as much as possible throughout the night.
It is now the fourth day and after awaking at 3:35 this morning and not getting back to sleep until gone 6:30 due to the cold and the quality of the bedding and pillows in particular which are filled with 'clumps' of synthetic fibre, the likes that a cheap teddy bear would be stuffed with. I'm not demanding Egyptian cotton but in the current climate a summer duvet at least and a quality pillow wouldn't go a miss!
We missed breakfast again but It won't be a problem today as its not Friday! How wrong can you be! Snacks are only served from 12pm leaving 2 hours with no food provisions whatsoever!
This was the final straw and so I headed to reception to express my discontent at the situation. The receptionist explained that all inclusive does not mean that you can get food when you want and that provisions are only made for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
As far as I'm concerned this is full board with no other value than cheap unbranded drinks and unbranded soft drinks that even the children will not drink as they are foul. The only branded soft drink is Pepsi- which I can assure you is not Pepsi and is more like RolaKola.
The receptionist advised that he could not help in any way and that I would need to speak to the director but he does not work weekends but works breakfast and dinner on weekdays only.
Well to be honest as I sit here (after 12pm) with a choice of a burger (with a stale bun) or a cheese and ham toastie (which has been toasted for all of 10 seconds) as the only available snacks I'm at the point where I really cannot be bothered giving the director the time of day. A snack menu of two items - neither of which they can get right!
With a full week of the holiday remaining I will stay within the complex as little as possible.
Fortunately?... we have to date paid to be elsewhere for our evening meal each night and so have not yet had to have the battle about the all-inclusive drinks finishing at 10:30 but the bar still being open if you wish to pay! As a family we do not go out all day in search of an alcohol fest but to be limited by such ridiculous hours of an evening pretty much sums up the respect that the complex has for its guests.
It is such a shame as the staff are wonderful albeit somewhat embarrassed by the limitations in place.
The complex could be a little goldmine if only you could get past the stench of penny pitching which is polluting every element of it!
ALL-INCLUSIVE? I think they flatter themselves!

Have written a few reviews this year and non of them critical of the places instayed this is not lucky its because i will only stay in accomadation that has high scores with tripadvisor.
So this will come as no surprise i found the miraflor suits a perfect place to stay in a vibrant holiday resort accomadation is excellent although i chose half board and what a selection of food there is roast, joints, fish, salads to all tastes to all tastes and other specialites i think i would have paid the same for the meals alone in dublin that i paid for my whole half board stay spanish wine with your meals 8.90 a bottle all of this is buffet eat as much as you like another section is chinese food then if you are able tuck into the desert selection. lovely gardens childrens play area, pool bar tame peacocks wonder around very safe you can only enter with a key card the photos of this resort dont lie its is ideal very nice staff they will organise trips mogan on a friday which is the biggest market i ever saw 10 mins walk will take you to the jumo shopping center a huge complex 3 floors of shops a bus will take you to and from the beach. runs both ways every couple of hours but its not that far to walk anyway also complimentry bottle of wine and fruit on arrival

Stayed here early July and it was a brilliant holiday. You can tell from when you are greeted on arrival at reception (by a lady) that they value their customers. We were asked if we would like to leave our bags at reception whilst we had some food after travelling as the lunch was due to end soon! Rooms are very good for the price, very good! We had a one bedroom suite (despite only paying for a studio) which had a complimentary bottle of local wine and a fruit basket, which is nice touch! Suites are kept clean, nice and modern...I noticed there are still bungalows to be renovated and its nice to see they didn't skimp on decorating the current ones in order to get them all open!

Anyway, all the staff are lovely, i couldn't single anyone out because genuinely the reception, bar and animation team were very friendly and very helpful. The man who works on the bar and in the rondo hotel buffet seems to really enjoy his job and it reflects in his rapport with guests.

Food choice is quite good but the best food is definitely from the Grill BBQ where the food is freshly cooked!

A belated Thank You for a brilliant holiday and you will certainly be my first choice should I return to Gran Canaria!

Me and my Husband stayed here 17/10 - 24/10 ; 2014.
We had a spotless bungalow which was really very comfortable. Beds were two huge singles put together. We went All Inclusive. The cooking facilities in our bungalow were not good for if you go self catering - two rings and no work surface. However we did not need this and enjoyed the coffee machine provided. Having our own terrace with sun beds and reclining chairs was a luxury. very quiet and safe grounds with a card system. So a gated & secure complex.
The bungalow was set in beautiful grounds and the pool and bar area was lovely. Sun beds were plenty.
The food was lovely and there is a lot of choice in a big dining room. Plenty of great salads and a Chinese buffet. Also we booked the BBQ restaurant over at the Miraflor suites Bar area two night of our stay. The food is served across the road at the Rondo Hotel. This was not a problem at all- a minutes walk at most. Literally over a quiet side road. Rondo hotel area is also nice and we used their Pub as it had no Animation Team and kids disco so was more of an adult area. Reception staff at the Rondo were very helpful.
A previous review called the Miraflor Suites an Oasis and it surely is. The resort of Playa De Ingles in nothing special beyond the beach and sand dunes and is very purpose built and very dated. Yumbo centre just sells old tat. As English couple in our 40's we were a minority in Playa de Ingles. Lots of other nationalities but few English. A resort for older people & gay men - lots of single sex complexes. This added to the safe and quiet atmosphere of the resort. This is the area around and not the Miraflor which is more for couples and families.
Enjoyed our week purely because Miraflor was so lovely. Would not return to Gran Canaria as it has no soul

Room Tip: Ask for a terrace that is not shared with others. And one that gets the sun in the afternoon
