Stayed: July 7th -14th
Booked via: TUI

I would really recommend this hotel, perfect location and great service. Would not recommend booking with TUI. The terrible TUI experience started at the checkin desk at the airport , we were told to re-pack our luggage to evenly distribute the weight even though the total weight was far under, by 10 kg! TUI need to upgrade their aircraft / given them a clean!

- brand new hotel, everything is modern and very clean.
- Check in was very quick and with free champagne on arrival
- The rooms are quite spacious and have pretty much everything you need including bathrobes and rain shower. Really impressed with the level of standard throughout the hotel.
- Several pool areas, good for families and adults too.
- The WiFi is great, no dropped connection
- Fantastic service from all staff, everyone is friendly and happy to help
- Rooms cleaned twice a day
- Complimentary fruit and wine in your room
- Location 10 min walk to the beach and close to all the restaurants and bars, nice to go on walks in the evenings

- as on most beach holidays, people do save sun beds with the towels and then go out for the day, quite frustrating
- Always hard to cater to everyone but the food did get quite boring after a while. Each day there was a selection of: pizza, pasta, meat , fish and veg for mains, with salads bread and desserts. There was a day where they had sushi which was great but could had done more of this in the week.
- Recommend with going early or late for dinner as it gets very busy!

RIU Palace Maspalomas Hotel has an exceptional location. On one side you are in the vibrant town of Playa del Ingles, and on the other, walking through the sand dunes, you come to the beaches of the ocean, classic or nudist.
The rooms are spacious and clean, with a huge loggia, equipped with deck chairs, a fabulous view of the sand dunes and the ocean.
Half board service - breakfast and dinner according to the "Swedish table" principle, offers plenty of varied food and specialties. The staff is extremely kind, everyone greet you with an unaffected smile at the meeting.
There are two swimming pools. One larger, suitable for swimming, around which you can always find free deckchairs with umbrellas. The other smaller, with a series of accompanying accessories - hydromassagers, Jacuzzi deck chairs, hot water shower, etc. I recommend early morning going to the beach, and relaxing on the pools in the afternoon.
In addition to the nearby shopping centers of Cita and Yumbo, you can also enjoy the beautiful walking trail that starts at dunes lookout, continues along them with a beautiful view of the ocean and ends above the city beach.
My only two remarks / suggestions would be: to bring warm water to the Jacuzzi at the pool and to include several music channels, domestic (Spanish) and foreigners in the TV-offer.
This is my second stay in this hotel. Whoever once experiences all the benefits it provides, he hardly wants to come again!

Another great visit to our favourite Hotel. Always good to to meet up with friends that, like us, are regular visitors. Also good to meet up with Staff members who remember you from previous visits and go out of their way to make sure your stay is a happy one. You know you are on a good thing when it’s the same workforce year on.
Yes there are areas where a revamp would be welcome but the quiet non glitter style suits many of the older patrons. With an increasing number of older clients who can afford to travel there surely will always be a place for somewhere that has a quieter more reserved aspect and this RIU Palace is perfect for them.
As always the food choice was excellent both at Breakfast and Evening meal. We love the idea of having a set table for the Evening meal and sincerely hope that system will remain. We always go for the late sitting which gives us chance to relax on the Terrace with a drink and listen to the excellent piano playing of Josef Sarkosi. He has been doing that successfully for many years. The resident group come on around 8pm which is a bit louder but they also are enjoyable. We usually miss the late evening shows as we prefer to take a walk after our meal so I cannot comment on those but by all accounts they were fine with a mixture of Spanish dancing, acrobatics and dancing to the group.
My Wife celebrated her Birthday while we were there and for that we visited the Krystal restaurant with 2 friends. New menu was very good and as usual the atmosphere in this stylish restaurant with waiter service was very good. Its part of your half board deal so well worth the change from the Buffet.
We always go for a West facing room on the 1st floor with a good view over the Dunes towards the sea. Its classed as a Sea view but bear in mind that there is a lot of sand between the hotel and the sea. Its very quiet and you do get the evening sun on the balcony but during the day its in the shade. We usually have a snack lunch on the balcony and cool off after the heat around the pool area. Sleep quality was excellent and the room was kept spotless by the staff. The AC was quiet and efficient.
There is a small flat screen tele but we rarely watch it but TV buffs might be disappointed. We always take our own kettle and mugs as there are no tea Coffee making facilties. Currently there is a bath with a shower. Hopefully that will change to a walk in shower. You have to be a bit careful when climbing into the bath to take a shower. Plenty of storage space but a lack of sockets and USB fittings for the modern man and his gadgets. No doubt that will change soon.
I have written many reviews of this hotel and still maintain that it sets the standards that others should follow. I have no reason to change that view and will be back this Winter and again in June 2019.

The only negative thing I can say about this property is that it is a bit outdated and should be renovated. The facility is in great condition, the food is very nice, and the amenities/pools are very sufficient.

It is also very convenient to the dunes on one side, and the nightlife on the other. Thus very centrally positioned. The clientele is also very diverse, which is a good thing.
