Ok, I’ll keep this review brief and honest.
As long as you don’t compare this hotel to a 5star resort in Mexico, as it isn’t, then you get good value for money here.

Good points:
Clean, big rooms with restoration going on.
Lots of choice when it comes to food.
Nice large pools and plenty of sun beds to go around - however, if you want a good spot be prepared to be up about 7am.
Lots of clubs and activities to keep you busy and a decent weights room. Download the Tui Magic App and you’ll be able to see all of the activities on offer.
Good selection of Cocktails but some only properly made in the plaza bar at night.

Bad points:
Our A/C was useless. The room was like an oven.
Transfer from the airport was close to 2hrs and checking in took about the same. The manager told everyone to go get food as the restaurant was closing and to come back after already queuing for an hour. We just waited but the queue later on (10:30pm) was still massive.
The pool was freezing, and I mean freezing. It was very windy which may have contributed. It’s the first time at a resort the children are playing more on the sun beds as it’s too cold. Everyone moaning about it but nothing done. They heat it during the winter months but trust me, it needed it in July. This was a major negative as it made dipping in the pool to cool off a struggle.
The beach is tidal so you might get on the sand a handful of times in a couple of weeks.
There isn’t much to do at night.

All in all a good enjoyable stay and for the price I would come back, maybe in October when the pool is heated. As long as your expectations are in line with the price then you’ll have a good time.

First time here and we arrived the day it reopened after being closed for 4 months for a refurb. The whole hotel, inside and outside was spotless. We had our 17year old with us and our room had a massive super king double bed and a single bed and there was still plenty of space. We paid for a seaview and actually emailed and asked for block 14. This was a fantastic view and a really quiet place to have a room - I would recommend it. Pool area excellent, bars excellent and restaurants excellent. The first 4 days were quiet as it had just reopened, but by day 5 of our holiday the masses arrived! It became quite a different place, bars busy, restaurant busy, queues, but the staff did an excellent job. Sunbeds became tricky too, but the pool staff were excellent at finding sunbeds for people and bringing them to them, rather than people having to trapse round looking for them. We used all the gym and class facilities, including the mountain biking, and they were all superb! The onsite app to book everything was fantastic. You do need to book for the morning SPIN classes and be quick to get to the 6pm session to book the mountain biking for the next day. I had the unfortunate situation of needing to use the on site doctor and medical centre and that as excellent too!! One tip, in the restaurant there is an adults only section, if you have no kids with you, or a 16yr+, when you go in for dinner ask to go in the adults area. They don't offer it but they are happy to seat you there. It is so much quieter, linen table clothes, proper wine glasses and piped music . All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel ...perfect for keeping active teenagers (and husbands) occupied. Also WiFi throughout the hotel, even block 14 which is built in to the side of the cliff!

Room Tip: Block 14 - seaview room.

My experience at this hotel just gets better and better each time l return. You not only see how hard the staff work throughout the hotel but you can feel it. The hotel is spotless throughout.
The renovations are spectacular. Just booked to return in December for my 5th trip. The food was just divine. So much to do for all.

Room Tip: Its worth paying the extra for a sea view room.

The resort itself is very clean and everywhere is well kept. The cleaners and restaurant/bar staff work incredibly hard all hours of the day. The rooms were spacious and plenty of storage. Food was typical buffet style and could always find something for the pickiest eaters. Not so good points...check in was very slow despite having 4 members of staff on the desk (however nice touch taking bags up to your room). Room was nice but floors were very dusty and air con noisy and not very cold. The pools are freezing cold and don’t warm up even on hot days with little wind. Sunbeds are all reserved by 7am and resort staff don’t enforce rules of not reserving beds. This was really disappointing when there is nothing outside of the resort so only option was pool or beach. Beach was good and access was fine just a few steps. Tide comes in quite close and on windy days massive waves. Entertainment was poor and seemed like rejects from Britain’s got talent! There were a couple of professional dancers but rest of team still looked like they were learning the moves. Same routines were rehashed in different ways. No external acts brought in so animation team did it all - they tried their best but not close to standard I’ve seen in other resorts. On Saturdays nothings on and not much to do. One shop onsite but no ATM so bring enough currency. Pool snack bar was convenient but none of the food is covered so flies on the bread and birds were flying in and eating the cakes. Really puts you off! On coach to airport no rep to check who was onboard so don’t be late! I wouldn’t come back again as far better options for same money in other places.

The hotel grounds are large and well maintained. The hotel can be very busy especially around the pool area, there are far more guests than sun beds, hence the middle of the night battles to secure one. The food available is very good and the hotel staff are lovely however you can be queuing for a table. The rooms are basic compared to other TUI hotels with the same star rating, room air conditioning units are noisy. The kids clubs are a hit or miss, 3-6 age have enjoyed themselves however 7-12 have hated them and have took a dislike to the reps who don’t seem very friendly at times and disorganised . We have been on 7 TUI holidays in the last 3 years and have never had issues with the kids clubs! The evening entertainment is amateur at best to poor again well below the standard we have received at other TUI resorts. In nutshell I wouldn’t recommend this hotel as there’s far better holiday packages out there for the same price or cheaper.
