Last here in 1991 we returned after 27 years. Amazingly the friendly member of staff who checked us in had worked at the Riviera since the 70's. He didn't remember us. Last time we were among the youngest of guests. This time we were still at the younger end of the age range - although we guess we are now classed as a "mature couple". We booked a Beachfront Club room and asked for and were given an upper floor which had fantastic views. The room was really spacious and very comfortable, so was the bed. Liked everything about it. We elected to go B&B as we thought it would be good to eat out. Buffet breakfasts were really good though, as were the lunchtime and bar snacks which were also good value for money. We visited the bar and its evening entertainment a few times and found it very good and had a dip in the small indoor pool.
The hotel may have been modernised since our last visit but the service remains the same as before - excellent. Friendly and helpful staff.
We would return.More
