Description: Restaurant Galician Cuisine The restaurant Gallego Orecanto was born in Madrid in 2002 with the desire to offer its visitors all the flavor of Galicia in its dishes and in the decoration of the restaurant. We offer delicate Galician cuisine ruled by great professionals and a chef worthy of this restaurant. The success is in the exquisite selection of fish, meat and seafood, served directly daily in the market. Orecanto has become in a short time the gastronomic reference par excellence of the Galician restoration in San Sebastián de los Reyes. Come to Orecanto bar and dinner snacking In our tavern we have created the perfect environment so you can enjoy our rations and drinks or make a stop to "open mouth" before going to our lounge. Terrace A place where to enjoy our exquisite dishes in a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for large groups and all those who want to enjoy the outdoors in the hottest months, not forgetting that we will provide a warm and pleasant atmosphere in the colder months. Our terrace will enjoy a selection of rations to share and all the dishes of our cards. Kitchen In Orecanto we have the firm commitment to offer our customers the best of Galician gastronomy, and for this we put all our effort in obtaining the best raw materials brought directly from the market to our restaurant, guaranteeing the authenticity of our products and its freshness. In our restaurant we offer you the most delicious products of the Galician coast: Percebes, Carabineros, Ox of Sea, Centollo Gallego, Shrimp, Nécoras, Bogavantes, Clams ... Our chef specializes in the elaboration of the most succulent dishes of the traditional Galician cuisine, and brings in all its dishes its mastery and innovation to always offer unique and unforgettable flavors. Come to taste our dishes and feel all the flavor of Galicia! Cellar With more than 100 references in our winery, in our offer, we opted for a selection of national wines, supporting the quality product from the big wineries to small winemakers who have something to tell .. and some limited productions with which to surprise.

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor while overnighting in Madrid on he way to El Puerto. It had excellent ratings all around and I've rarely been disappointed with places with such great reviews.

Not being used to European dinner times, we arrived to a mostly empty dining room at 7pm. We had great outdoor seats surrounded by heavy duty clear plastic curtains and outdoor heaters that kept the chilly night comfortable with a nice view of the street.

Inside they had a tank with live lobster and crab and several fresh seafood cuts over ice in a display cabinet. We went with the grilled seafood special and a seafood paella both portioned and priced for two. This was more than enough food for my wife and two children!

The grilled seafood came with four different types of shrimp and grilled squid. Despite living and eating in Japan for 6 years the squid we had that night was by far the best we've ever had. The larger dark prawns were smoky with sea salt and were the highlight of the evening.

The paella was good, but it's hard for me to judge as it normally is not my favorite dish.

Lastly we had a queso tart and flan. The flan was good, but the queso tart was the best cheese cake creation any of us have tried. And the black coffee they served, though small by American standard was rich and full bodied and kept its flavor until the last drop.

Overall we were very pleased with our first excursion out in Spain!

Restaurant very well located with both indoors and outdoors seating area.

Food was incredible, mostly seafood which was very fresh however a decent selection of other dishes are available. Tried both the rice and hake which were extremely nice and tender and perfectly cooked.. Very good value for money considering the quality of the dishes and the great service.

Service was very attentive and quick and were extremely friendly.

Will definitely be back.

work group of +8 met for evening meal - excellent service, seafood and wine. Walked from Paseo del Prado across the Park to the restaurant (20min or so) and it was worth it. Will be back as the seafood was excellent - with the large group we sampled many dishes and they all hit the mark. Could not fault one of them with everything fresh and well prepared. Walked back to hotel and again a nice way to do it.
