Description: The atmosphere is beautiful and intriguing at the same time - splashes of unique colors and art engulf the interior to bring the patrons into a surrounding unlike any other. Our menu is unique in almost every way and we strive to surprise every customer on what their palette might enjoy while trying their next glass of wine. Our knowledgeable staff is always available for anyone with questions about wine typologies or even to just talk "shop" about our wine selection. One of the most unique experiences we offer to our guest is the option to use our self-serve Italian made Enomatics. We offer a selection of 48 wines on these tasting machines that can be dispensed at the correct temperature directly to customers through the use of a microchip card. Every wine on the system can be dispensed in 1.5oz, 3oz, or 6oz pours - giving our guests the chance to taste as many wines as they like without having to look at a single menu. Our goal is to help everyone experience the various types of wine from around the world and to never make anyone feel that you have to have a degree in enology to enjoy a great glass of wine.

We celebrated our anniversary here for the first time. The atmosphere was quite, relaxing, romantic, and charming. The service was great and fast. The wait staff were knowledgeable about the food and wines. The stuffed quail and the maple duck entry were delicious! ! My husband enjoyed the milionare ribeye that he could with a fork. The wine tasting was fun and I enjoyed finding a new wine to enjoy. The prices are a bit expensive but worth every penny. We will definitely go back many more times

Not very crowded, quiet. Nice ambiance. The food was solid, not excellent. Nice cocktail and wine list.

Love this restaurant, great place to eat and drink some wine. Food is very good and their wine selection is great. Have fun and try a ton of different wines and have the tuna burger, one of my favorites.

We've been to The Funky Door a couple times in the past, and are impressed with their wine selections, but the prices being charged are getting way up there. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. Their wine markup is significant, and seeing a $30 GLASS of wine is a bit of sticker shock, maybe not in NYC or DC or LA but in Lubbock... although they do have an Enomatic system which allows dispensing of wine in smaller quantities.

I love the Funky Door. The fondue is AMAZING! The wine is good too. We were told at first that we couldn't have a table for 10, When I had been there before, there was a huge party who sat right behind us who had much more than 10. Because we got there early, we begged and got a table for all of us. We shouldn't have to do that. Our group had a wonderful time, but our waitress was less than friendly. If we are paying those prices, we expect good service. One of our friend's asked for salt and pepper, he had an expensive steak and wanted more seasoning. He stopped eating his steak to wait on it and it finally came about 20 minutes into our meal. Totally unacceptable. It took a LONG time to get wine or drinks because the bar was busy, but salt and pepper? That was all on her. I am not going to name her because I am hoping she just had a bad night. Come on Funky Door!
