“Awesome Tour”

The House of the Seasons
Reviewed 29 August 2016

We toured the House of Seasons and it was well worth the $10 we spent. The tour guide was lovely and the house was amazing. Definitely worth the time.

Shirley was our tour hostess and she was very fun and informative. Beautifully restored home. Well worth a visit.

I want to start by saying that nothing at this B&B would be the same without Shirley. She is amazing. Each time we arrive, there is a delightful surprise. The most recent additions and improvements are unbelievable. You only need to take a look at the House of the Season's website, or Facebook page to see the amazing new greenhouse and landscaping that make you want to stay forever. Breakfast is always special, and the tour of the home is unforgettable. I saw someone's comment about not having the tour. Perhaps there was some "issue" that particular day, or scheduling conflict. There is so much to see and hear on the tour, and we look forward to it every visit, accompanied by Sadie, the friendly kitty, all the way. Ask about the tour when you reserve your room, but if it's not available, it shouldn't be a deal breaker. There's so much more!

Loved this gorgeous house. We took the tour several years ago and I would gladly take it again. You can stand in the hall and look up at the gorgeous colored stain glass window, this is where it gets its name. I'm sure it is lovely at Christmas.

Price of the tour expensive, the house keeper gave the tour instead of the guardian of the home so felt a little cheated. We also were not allowed to go all the way up to the top to see the stain glass in the copolla, that was disappointing. But if you like antiques, southern history, and beautiful grounds, take the tour.
