Overall a VERY BAD experience! It started when we pulled up... the cabins are only approximately 100 feet from a major road (Glen Rose Hwy)... incredibly noisy, and right by the traffic. The cabins are poorly maintained, very outdated, and the installations run down. The trail behind the cabins was a joke (1/8 mile long at best) filled with old children's equipment and broken benches. The air conditioning window unit temperature control did not work in the "Rose cabin" and we froze all night. The place stunk of Clorox to the point even my dog was sneezing. The fact that they allowed pets was probably the only positive factor, but we would have been better off going to a chain hotel. Everything about it was misrepresented on the website and most of the praising reviews in TripAdvisor I am sure we're written by people who did not stay there, or by the owners themselves. The place was not "quaint," the breakfast was not "delicious" and the whole experience was far from "relaxing." We paid $296 for 2 nights and stayed only one. The owners, although friendly, were very unreasonable, and did not reimburse any for the second night. The place is fairly close to the State park, but I believe you can find closer and much better for that price. DO NOT recommend it! ....Run the other way!

This review got published under the Grandbury square which is inaccurate. The review is meant to be about the bed and breakfast "Dinosaur Trail Cabins and Cottages located on the town of Grandbury, Tx

I hope you can correct that!

These accomodations were not worth the money. The cabins have not been maintained, but they were more expensive than most of the hotels in the area. Internet and cable were advertised, but they were not working when we arrived. Breakfast was the best part of our stay. It was served in a lovely room. We found the town of Granbury to be a wonderful place to visit. Lots of shops, restaurants, and dinosaur tracks.

Room tip: Wifi and cable were advertised but were not working. I think this was the case in all units.

While there were some positive aspects of our stay like convenient distance to Granbury, comfy outdoor seating area to enjoy nice weather and the ability to bring our small dogs, overall we were very disappointed. Our family originally booked two cabins for three nights but only stayed one.... opting to depart for a local motel instead. Why? Cabins were clean but quite small with decor that seems to have not been updated in decades. We could have overlooked this but learned upon our arrival that cable and wifi were not available. Again, we made do only to be informed that the ice machine was also broken. Our cabin (Cowboy) had so little sound insulation that we heard road noise from nearby highway throughout the night. When we failed to have hot water for showers the following morning, we decided enough was enough and departed. Unfortunately, innkeepers were not in town to address any of our concerns.

I really enjoyed my weekend at this B&B. We had a group of four and we stayed in the Jurassic cabin which was extremely comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the furnishings within the cottage. We had a collection of board games, books, videos and other things to keep my daughter happy. We also loved the charm of the old dinosaur trail on the property along with the playground. The property is less than 1/4 miles from the Granbury Lake boat docks which was a pleasant surprise.

The owners were extremely sweet and they joined us each morning at 9:00 AM for breakfast. The food was good and I look forward to bringing the family back later in the year.

If there were any points to improve, I might recommend a little work on their TV and DVD/VCR wiring and integration and on a little bit of maintenance on the dinosaur trail. It's not central to their offering as a great B&B, but it's a quirky delighter.

Room tip: I think all the cabins are nice, but the Jurassic is the best.

We stayed one night in the Cowboy Cabin and had a wonderful time. The location was perfect...right near a great boat dock and restaurant. The place was cute and quaint, but what made our stay was the hospitality and kindness of the host and hostess. Looking forward to bringing the kids one weekend!
