This was a great find. We drove by and called the Condominium. Howard was extremely helpful with making reservations for our very short stay. He allowed us to look at 3 different units before selecting a unit to stay in. The unit had a beach view and was very well decorated. We had a full kitchen including dishes. The access to the beach was very close.

We have stayed here before over Memorial Day. Our kids and their family were going to come but had a family emergency. When called to cancel they said, we were a little to late. So, the front desk down sized us from the Penthouse to a Efficiency for the price of the deposit. When my husband and I got all settled in the room (405) I noticed his feet were dirty with sand. I looked for a broom so small you could not REALLY sweep the floor. Went to use the stove the front burner was not wrking (broken) made due the other burners. No lights in the kitchen, no plugs in the bathroom, bathroom sink leaked. King size bed was uncomfortable. Really felt like a motel. Was grateful that we didn't loose our deposit but my husband said "they don't have to be that efficient." Will stay here again just in a efficiency!

These are by no mean fancy condos, but our family comes here to go to the beach! This was our 4th time to stay on this property. As others have mentioned you do not have to cross the road to go to the beach and that alone is worth the price of admission. We have rented both efficiencies and 1 bedrooms. The smaller condos are great for a couple or a couple with 2 kids. When renting an effienciency, look for one that has a full size refrigerator if you are staying more than a weekend. Last week we were in 608 it has the larger refrigerator and a bar instead of a table, which gave us a little more room to move around.
Staff was nice as always and the heated pool was a great perk since Spring Break weather did not cooperate this year... We will come back again.

Room tip: Look for rooms with full size refrigerators vs dorm size.

We have stayed at Islander East several times now. Every condo we have stayed in was nice, but so far 308 has been our favorite. The outside of the building looks a little older but the inside of the units we have stayed in have been nicely furnished, up-to-date and very clean. Best of all, we love that it is right on the beach with awesome views, very quiet, but not far at all from the Seawall restaurants and the Strand for shopping. Also, compared with other options right on the beach we find it to be very affordable.

We have been coming to the Islander for 8 years. We've stayed in a lot of the condo's but our favorite is 910. All the condo's are clean, neat and if there's a problem, Management always make sure things work out. When we arrive, we feel like the TV show "Cheers" because they know our names. In the 8 years, we've met some great people: Stacy, Heather, Amanda, Katy, the Great Howie and the wonderful Maintenance crew.

The pool is great and the grounds are always clean (inside and outside). We love the access to the beach and it's wonderful sunrises. We love the fact that we can sleep in and not worry about "wild parties" going on next door or down the hall.

Room tip: When on the site, look at the pictures or call and they can help pick the right condo for you.
