Owner description: Wildseed Farms is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, just seven miles east of Fredericksburg, Texas. Come by and see us seven days a week, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bring the camera and capture the ultimate in wildflower photographs! Spend as much time as you like at the farm's activities. We have 200 acres of wildflowers in various stages of development here on the farm. Springtime visitors will likely see Texas bluebonnets, red corn poppies, phlox, and a gorgeous array of other spring flowers. Summer visitors will enjoy cosmos, sunflowers, zinnias and other warm weather bloomers. In the fall, the fields are planted for the following year's color, but our Nursery is well stocked with a variety of choices for fall planting and colorful pumpkins adorn the grounds around The Shops at Wildseed Farms which are brimming with delightful gifts for home and garden. And don’t forget to browse our incredible selection of wildflower seeds as well as our seven regional mixes for anywhere in the U.S.

We came upon the Wildseed Farm by accident and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! The fields of colorful flowers surrounding the shop are what first caught our eyes as we drove by. Of course we had to stop and check it out. The flower field were beautiful, the huge gift shop was and stocked with tons of gifts and seeds of all kinds, and the outdoor nursery boasted beautiful plants and a few fat and sassy cats enjoying a nap in the sun. I can't wait to plant my seeds!

The Wildseed Farms was a highlight of our first trip to Fredericksburg. There wasn't much growing in late July except sunflowers, but all that yellow was beautiful. Loving gift shops, I was in heaven enjoying all the glassware, ceramics, decorative items for fall, Toland flags, mailbox covers, Texas jams and honey, and--of course--wildflower seeds, plus a lot more. And there were several precious kitties enjoying their afternoon naps, snoozing away on a display of table linens and other comfy places. There's a lot to be said for a store that is home to cats! We can't wait to visit again in the spring.

This plant nursery/wildflower farm is a true visual feast! There is an almost endless array of plants to look at and buy. The wildflowers (in bloom at that time!) were beautiful in their intense color. The gift shop has some wonderful novelty items in it that I have seen nowhere else. And whatever you do, DON'T miss out on that delicious peach ice cream! Delicious and fun!
