Spent the afternoon at the Fort Worth stockyards and wow, what a trip back in history to the Wild West. Worth a visit if you are a western film buff. It’s free to visit but you do have to pay to go into some places . Great atmosphere too.

Stopped at the stockyard to see the running of the longhorns but my timing didn't work. Did get to see several of them standing in the streets with handlers. Amazing how big they are and the span of their horns. Interesting area to visit.

Love the ambiance! People are very welcoming and friendly. We went there in the middle of the week so it wasn't very busy. The cattle drive was fun! Rain or shine, they will have the cattle drive at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm every single day. There are lots of shops and restaurants around. I'd love to go back.

Had a great experience at the stock yard. Fell into several venues, each one charming and as inviting as the last.
Great food
Cold beverages
Hospitality in Spades
Armadillo Racing...sure why not

Went during a weekday evening. A slow night not a lot of things going on. Didn’t have a meal there but seemed like a good value. Mostly burgers and bbq joints. Lots of general store type places selling Ft Worth and Texas stuff.
