We ate at El Fenix during a quick trip to Dallas for a wedding. We love Tex-Mex food and were not disappointed. This was a first time visit for us and did know what to expect. The restaurant is large and a bit noisy (at least during our Saturday lunch), so do not expect an intimate, white-table-cloth experience. However, our server was attentive but not overly so, and food was served hot and fast. Chips and salsa were excellent, entrees were tasty and our tres leches cake was delicious. There is plenty to choose from, too, from traditional Tex-Mex fare to vegetarian offerings.
