Review of Whataburger

Whataburger
Ranked #558 of 3,981 Restaurants in Dallas
Description: Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, "What a burger!" He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, "Whataburger." Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I've had better burgers, that's for sure. And they still try to up-sell you at the counter so not as "friendly" service. Fries were average. Ketchup packets in short supply. Burger not bad, but I've had better, so probably will not return.

Waited in line for 13 minutes at drive through behind car who sat at speaker waiting to order. Since it was late around 9pm and we was tired after long day at hospital we just wanted to get something quick to bring to hotel. Waited and waited!!! Finally called the Resturant's phone and asked if their drive thru was working girl replied "yeah why" told her we was waiting in line here for 13 minutes her reply "oh crap who has the headset" well we finally ordered and of course food was cold.
2nd chance!!!! Waited and waited because son who was in the hospital wanted a milkshake. Finally what looks like a management staff reaches head out of drive through to wave cars forward. When finally made it to the window he (who was dressed in management attire) was very rude. Guess we will try Burger King next time. Even though we love whataburger

It seems that everyone in Texas is crazy over this 'water' burger. To someone from Asia, I am very puzzled on why it taste so good (as claimed) and why so special!

Took us over 20 mins to get through a line of about 4 cars. By the time we got to the window, the server had our order wrong (which is probably why it took so long - everyone probably had the same problem). There was a huge line behind us.

We always get our Whataburger fix when traveling to Texas, through Mississipi or in Louisana. My favorite burger from growing up in Austin. Never disappoints! :)
