We went to Cane Rosso in Deep Ellum for a Father's Day lunch and had a great meal. The service was very good and personable. The drink selection featured many local breweries (Lakewood, Community, Peticloas...) We ordered the Brussel Sprouts for the appetizer - very tasty. Then we ordered the Honey B Pizza which was outstanding!!! Wood fired in their special oven with a nice blend of spices to heat up your mouth but did not damage your stomach. I paired the pizza with a Lakewood Brewing Company Temptress. This was our 4th time here and every time has been better than the time before. Stop by when you're in Deep Ellum, you'll love it!

Gathered with family for post baccalaureate dinner. Was able to sample 2 appetizers and 2 pizzas.
We ordered the spinach artichoke dip on bread and a friend ordered the fired mozzarella. Both were okay but seemed a bit bland, even beyond the differences between Napolitano and Sicilian cuisines. The dip was heated with the baking of the dough in the wood fired oven, which provided a touch of carbon taste.
My wife and I split 14 inch Cane Rosso pizza of red peppers, about 3 ounces of sausage, and cheese on freshly baked dough.
Another person tried the Honey Badger pizza. Pepperoni with habenero laced honey drizzle. A but of a bite but nice.
Service was prompt on keeping the drinks filled and meeting any requests. Crew seems to include at least 1 person dedicated to keeping the water glasses filled.
Early arrival at 2 different times, Did not fluster concierge. We were seated as soon as tackle ead available after 10 or so minute wait and before the arrival of other half of party.

We enjoyed the Ella pizza with hot soppressata (Italian salami) was excellent. We also had a Capra salad that was very good. Excellent value for the price.

This place is fabulous. We lucked out with timing on a Wednesday evening - arrived right as happy hour was in full swing. We were seated right away and our server was super happy and helpful. Since it was our first visit, we got a quick run down on the pizza style and some specialties. We ordered a Margherita and Ella (topped with hot soppressata) pizza and they were sooo good. The crust is very thin, just how I like it, and melt in your mouth buttery. The toppings were perfect. We ordered the meatballs for an appetizer and they were delicious with the sauce and crostini that accompany them. Perfect with the pizzas! We also had a Moscow mule and a limoncello and both were very good. We topped off the meal with tiramisu which was fresh, light, and wonderful. This place during happy hour really can’t be beat! We are looking forward to many return visits.

Nestled in a little corner of Deep Ellum (near downtown) is a magical place that makes pizza true Italian style. This is a story of that place....

Ok, but seriously. This is some of the best pizza outside of Italy. Knife and fork pizza, so don't expect the NY style stuff, savvy?
