As mentioned, the trains do run right next to the hotel, but I personally love the sound of the train. The staff is friendly...no problems with check in or out. The food is good, but a little bit pricey for what you get. Not a deal breaker. I enjoyed the atmosphere and would recommend this hotel.

Why would you ever stay at a chain when you can find gems like this!!! I had a great stay. I walked in a made my reservation on the spot with no hassle. The happy hour was wonderful and the food was fresh and satisfying.

We stayed at this hotel in a recent trip to Bryan/College Station. This hotel has character - and in a good way. Such a pleasant change from the chain hotels. The service was efficient and pleasant and our room was clean.

Would definitely stay here again.

I had a room on the east side, and yes the trains are loud. That is my only negative comment. The service was cordial and friendly from reception to the bar and restaurant. Spent 3 nights in late May, and the weather was great, for Texas. Within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and retail stores. Downtown Bryan has interesting shops and restaurants, looks to have been revitalized in the last few years. Had very good food at Maddens across the street, and great service and lunch at Mollys. The wine bar a block away also was nice. Burgers at the Proud Monkey were delicious.
Melissa working the front desk and the various bartenders added to our group's enjoyment with their attitudes and recommendations. The complimentary breakfast was very good with eggs, bacon, toast, oatmeal and fruit. Cooked to order, no buffet or steam table to be found. If you can get over the train horns this is a great place.

Room Tip: The rooms are quieter on the west side.

Awful hotel. Stayed for two nights in April. At check in, they offer earplugs for the train. It passes several times in the night and is extremely loud. Earplugs could not have made a difference. Service in the bar in the evening is terrible. However, there is live music in the courtyard on weekend evenings which is quite good. If you'd like to go to bed before 11pm, forget it. It's very loud in the rooms.
The next day, I arrived back at my room at 5:30 pm and it still had not been cleaned. I called the front desk and requested a call from the manager and never received a call back.
The furniture in the rooms is very beat up, and not in a quaint, antique way. Just torn up. I did think he beds were comfortable, if you could sleep through the noise from the band playing outside and the trains passing in the middle of the night.
Definitely not worth staying at.

I'm truly sorry that your experience was not a pleasant one . We are working on trying to get a quiet zone so the trains will no longer be allowed to blow the horns. We are honest about the trains and the live music on the website and on social media . I appreciate your feed back about the hotel which will only help us improve in the future.
