Well worth the stop is to tour the Blue Bell Creamery wo see the history from its early beginning to the present. You get to watch ice cream being made and packaged weekdays. Then at the ice cream bar eat all the ice cream you want for only $1 per scoop. They had about 14 flavors out the day we were there. YUM, YUM is all I can say!

Everyone knows that Blue Bell Ice Cream is great! You can overlook the production line and they have have an ice cream parlor and gift shop. Great place to visit if you are in Brenham.

If you happen to be in the area and want $1 scoop of ice cream, stop by. I don’t suggest traveling lots of miles or hours to stop for about 15 mins. We did go 2 hours out of our way to visit but we felt it was part of our drive looking at wildflowers. No tour are available but you can go to observation deck and watch ice cream being packed. There is someone available to answer questions. The Visitor Center has short films and lots of pictures explaining the beginning of Blue Bell and history of Homemade Vanilla. I know why called Blue Bell and what brought about Homemade Vanilla. Gift shop has big variety of gifts.

NOTE OF INTEREST: Flavor “Milk and Cookies” (bits of chocolate chip cookies swirled in Vanilla) was voted employees favorite (excluding Homemade Vanilla) and can only get a taste at the Ice Cream Shop. The scoops are generous for $1 and your can taste flavors.

We stopped at the creamery to have some ice cream and it was only $1.00 a scope and the scopes filled a cup! Great value. Great taste and huge variety.

We made a point to visit the creamery since we LOVE Blue Bell ice cream. It was so nice and clean. We were able to view the making of the ice cream and packaging through the observation deck. You can buy the biggest scoop of Ice Cream of your choice for $1!!!! The gift shop had some of the cutest stuff in it. We loved our visit and will probably visit again if we ever make it back to Brenham. The kids LOVED it.
