The facility is wonderful and the people onsite are very friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for better service.

However, if you have to call their office be prepared to pay. There is a fee for EVERYTHING and absolutely no flexibility or consideration will be given for any circumstances. The fee is the fee and they WILL get their extra money with no possibility of waiving ANYTHING for any reason. Just be warned.

Just returned from a wonderful weekend of hiking, swimming and camping- all at South Shore Park! Clean facilities and well maintained grounds, the beach area was also well kept. Many families swimming and fishing; there was something for everyone. We stayed in a lake front cabin, and it was clean- had air conditioning and a ceiling fan to camp in the “cool” on hot summer nights. For the cabins, think of it as a substitution for a tent that is ready to enjoy and equipped with cots, and you will be able to plan accordingly. Bring bedding, and towels and anything that is needed for cooking and eating. The cabin had a grill and fire pit, and we made use of both. It also had a picnic table that came in handy. This is definitely a hidden gem, and we look forward to coming here again. Have fun!

Beautiful park. Only issue is when you rent the hall for the entire weekend - you still have to pay an entrance fee. Also, they don't set out tables and chairs like the other locations do and wasn't real thrilled that we were told we had to sweep the hall floor, gather up all the garbage bags and take them to the curb and put up all the chairs and tables. Cleaning our mess and putting everything back in order was one thing, but actually having to clean it is a bit much.

We went to this RV park to check it out before we took the RV. It is not hard to get to. The RV sites are cement and level. We really take the RV to fish and found that about 1/2 dozen sites are near the water. Site 14 and 16 are within a few steps of the water. Site 14 has a fishing platform nearby. The water is down some right now and so you actually have to walk around the fishing platform to get to the water. The edge of the water is about eight feet away from the platform. Sites 17, 35, and 36 are also close to the water. For those that have a car along with your RV can drive a short distance to the playground and two other fishing piers.
