We spent two nights here and this place never fails to impress. The staff is very helpful and leads you to the campsite. Our guy asked if I wanted directions backing up the camper and I gladly accepted another pair of eyes for safety. We bought some firewood at the KOA check in station and they brought it out to the site. It looks like every site has a fire ring.
The place was full and sites are close but I wouldn’t say it feels crowded. The trees are mature and we had great cover and shade in our spot.
The campsite is located very close to the entrance of the Smoky Mountain National Park and about 15-20 minutes from Cades Cove.
There is a camping store out front with plenty of snacks and souvenirs, and if you need a grocery store there is an IGA about five minutes back towards Townsend.More
