We took a leisurely drive through this lovely large park. There were lots of people enjoying the play areas, picnic spots and the amazing Parthenon. Don't miss the experience and enjoy the beauty in the middle of busy Nashville.

We went to a Musicians Corner concert there on Sunday afternoon. The music there was much better than we heard walking along Broadway or at the Tomatofest. It was mostly folk or old-fashioned country with a bluesy tinge to some of it.

So the Senate and People of Nashville (SPQN) decided that since they were the Athens of the South that they needed a monument to prove it. The elected to duplicate the Acropolis, or rather the Parthenon. In Concrete. Its to scale as well. Believe me, having fallen, tripped, and hurt myself on the real thing, there is an advantage to concrete over marble. You don't overlook Athens though. The mandatory gift shop is ok, the prices about that we found in Greece. Its a nice diversion and pretty site.
