I booked a two night stay. Although I arrived late on the first night, the owner was attentive and courteous throughout the check in process.
The toilet and shower block were very clean, nicely tiled, and readily accessible. The caravan was spacious, clean and had a very nice 'retro' feel to it.
However, I could not recommend this accommodation for a winter stay. I had brought my winter weight quilt, but even with that and a small heater running continuously throughout the night, I was extremely cold: the caravan did not heat up, the bed felt icy and my quilt was not enough to stave off the chill in the air. An uncomfortable stay.
At our age we have progressed to a small caravan so we can still enjoy the camping experiences. The Valley View Caravan Park at Whitfield Victoria Gives us that feeling while offering some comforts. We can have a fire and take our dog.We have been using the park now,2-3 times a year now for a couple of years. The sites are generous and well maintained. On every visit we notice improvements. The ammenities are maintained better the most of the parks we have stayed in,even some of the big chain parks. We have recommended this park to our friends. While we keep enjoying wine and food we will be coming back.
Very friendly, great service, wineries nearby, waterfalls nearby, dogs allowed, lovely grassy sites, will go again.
The park is set in a lovely location with so many great attractions on its door step. The staff are extremely welcoming and accommodated our late check in with a friendly smile. Amenities blocks were always clean. Great place to set up to explore the amazing country side and many wineries near by.
Park is walking distance to cafes and pub. Quiet location, amenities are spotless, Sites are very generous in size. John and Sue are amazing hosts -Often holding local fundraising events at the park - nothing is too much trouble. So much to see and do in the surrounding areas. We are regulars and love staying here.
