Description: Indian cuisine has benefited from a number of food influences; Central Asia, Arabia, the Mughal Empire, Persia, and Britain have had fundamental effects on the ingredients and techniques of Indian food. The Mughal Empire introduced an assortment of non-vegetarian elements, including kebabs and rich gravies, and promoted the addition of fruits such as apricots and melons. One of the most notable dishes attributed to the Islamic rule is biryani- a dish based on basmati rice, meat, spices, and saffron. Later on , the Portuguese and british introduced the “New World” ingredients, such as potatoes, tomatoes, and chilies- which are now used in many curries, such as chicken vindaloo. In addition to outside influences, Indian cuisine varies from region to region, reflecting the ethnically diverse subcontinent.

This restaurant is located almost hidden in a street mall in sunny isles north miami... Does not look like an Indian restaurant at all... If it wasn't because we had come here several times, I would have never eaten here...
The truth of the matter is that after they brought the Nan out, we asked what was wrong!!! Did they change the chef?? Why reheated? Why toasted? Where is the texture of a correct nan? Oh well, we cancelled several orders of nan pending and this can NOT be short in an Indian table...
After this we waited for over 40 minutes for our food to come out .... The nice waitress was alone and had 3 tables as a whole... The cook was probably alone!!!
We ordered several lamb dishes with sauce, a fish, lentils, basmati and cauliflower... I have to admit these were all average... Missing spice in most cases... We also ordered a special rice that came with a crust that was totally over cooked... Maybe burnt!!!
This place does not look clean...
It will be some time before I come here again....

Thank Jacques R

Nothing close to Indian food or hospitality. It is a very expensive place for some rotten seafood curry. The appetizers were cold and they brought it along with the entrée! The service was slow because there were not enough waiters. The owners are just concerned about ripping the customers! Once they get your card they just want to swipe all the money out. Please check before you pay as they will charge you twice for the same item.

Ate here on a rainy night in the beginning of February 2016. We sat outside under an awning and watched the rain fall. Elegant white linen tablecloths and napkins. I've been to India and I've eaten Indian food all over the United States and this restaurant did not disappoint. We had okra, lamb, onion kulcha, and garlic naan. There is full bar service but we opted to forgo alcohol. We arrived not too long before closing. We did not feel rushed to finish our meal. The owners Sat at a table next to us toward the end of our meal, and we struck up a lovely conversation. I will return to this restaurant without a doubt. It's not cheap but you have to remember the location.
