We arranged our trip 7 months in advance and arranged the hotel through
Travelocity. Upon arrival, they had no reservation information for us and asked to make a copy of my paperwork. We were fortunate that they had a room available but it took 1 1/2 hours to get into the room.....which made us late for dinner with friends. No one seemed to be in a hurry to get the room cleaned and set up. Overall, it was a tough way to begin our vacation. Suggestion: Go directly through the hotel's website when setting up a visit!!! Cheaper and more dependable!

We have been here for three weeks now and the hotel is fantastic. If you are looking for a true Mexican hotel this is it. Our room is spacious, we have a balcony with a fantastic view of the ocean and the people are wonderful. The pool is heated. The beds are firm but we bring our foam. We plan to return next year.

I stayed in Villa Buean Vida, small patio and plunge pool overlooking the ocean and surf break. Native aretb work and kitchen. The staff was friendly and helpful in every respect. I also got to watch a wedding on the premisies. Great place for any and all, mix of lovers, surfers, yoga types and tourists.

Room tip: Ask for plunge pool and how many stairs up as it is on a hill rising from the ocean. All are breeezy, ocean view and all airconditioned. For your figure and fitness ask for higher villas, more stairs, better ocean view.

We've stayed here several times in November, when its very warm and January when it's warm.
There used to be a private airstrip, El Llano, right north of there, which was very convenient, but this November it was closed. We had to park the plane at MMPR and get an 1100p taxi from the airport. We found out later that Vincent, aka Vinnie, would have come and picked us up for 600p. Oh, well. Live and learn.
This hotel is being condo'ed, and supposedly will not be available for short 3-4 night stays next year. We are disssooknted, as it's a lovely beach with miles to walk and vendors that sell fruit, seafood, or anything else you could desire. Very calm waves for small children.
We have looked at Villas Steffany three doors down for the same price, but if they don't open El Llano, we probably will go to Cabo for thanksgiving next year.

This is a hotel with efficiency units that are being changed into condos. We rented a condo for 3 months - Jan to March Wonderful condos - internet, tv, great beach right out your front door - amazing community Rincon is Mexico unspoiled You get a chance to interact with shop keepers, hotel employees and even the vendors on the beach. Tasty restaurants and lots of things to do.

Room tip: This is a hotel that is changing to condos. We rented a condo and it was amazing - 2 large bedrooms, great beds, internet, tv, 3 pools, right on the ocean. Quiet with great community. Mexico here is Mexico unspoiled - interactions with shop keepers, hotel workers, etc. is wonderful. Even the vendors on the beach get to know you.
