3 night DB&B stay in Superior Lake View Room. Due to covid meals served to the room but with the view from our veranda that was fine. Lovely drive round the lake. Lots of great walks. Would love to return when indoor catering opens. Thanks to all the staff.

Room tip: Ask for a lake view room

Had a one night stay at the hotel and upgraded to a room within a balcony- the views are breathtaking over the lake. The only noise is the bleating of sheep and bird song.
The rooms are traditional and spacious with a selection of tea/coffee. Due to covid restrictions we had dinner and breakfast via room service-very prompt and ease of ordering. Breakfast consisted of a choice of pastries, toast, meat cheese, fruit, waffles, overnight oats. We had the 3 course dinner all of which was very nice- not very warm due to the room service but understandable In the current climate. The location is beyond beautiful and great for outdoors activities and long scenic walks. Would highly recommend and I will be returning. Wales at its very best.

Arrived during restrictions and there were good clear instructions and good safe practices in place.
We booked premier lake view room for 1 night, and the views were stunning from our window and balcony.
The hotel is set in an incredible location, so quiet and peaceful.
The reception staff, the F&B staff are all excellent, smart and friendly.
We had dinner at the hotel and we chose several dishes from the tapas menu. We've had many tapas dishes when in Spain and these dishes were up there with the Spanish. Lovely and tasty.
The drinks are expensive like most restaurants, and after meal we sat next to the fire finishing our drinks.
The room was large with a seating area, private en-suite, balcony and a comfy bed.
The negatives were, room could be modernised a little, smaller table, do away with curtains, better colour scheme. The bacon for breakfast was really hard and tough to eat and a bit of waste from items we didn't want or order (croissant etc).
Plenty of positives and we would stay there again.

we had a nice view but from a very drab and tired room. In the restaurant we ordered scallops as a starter and what arrived were 2 small ,not fresh scallops ,overcooked. In direct comparison with 2 other places we stayed on this trip where the scallop starters were, one, fresh, and two we had four on the plate , this was not a good start to our dinner. Additionally the white wine we ordered to go with it sinply didnt arrive, We mentioned this and they eventually arrived well after we had eaten our first course. I,m afraid the rest of the meal was little better. This hotel is VERY expensive when comparec to other hotels in wales. Captive audience in the local area springs to mind !!!

Booked a Cwtch break in November and had a lovely time.
We were in a lake view room 1, and it was lovely, very comfortable with a great view of the lake. We were fortunate enough to have good weather when we arrived and the lake looked amazing.
The service at dinner and breakfast was excellent and we both enjoyed our meals.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxury break in a beautiful setting .
